Tommy lee Walker gone?????

Tommy Lee: I hope you are doing well and feeling better. I hope you will be able to be back on the radio in the Hudson Valley soon. I really miss you on my drive home. I wish you lots of luck in finding another radio job and would hate to lose you to the South...

I gotta say a big thank you to all of you who posted on this web-site... After 18 years on the air, and 10 years on WRWD alone, I am very greatful that the fans have found my way of broadcasting compelling, and at least a little entertaining. Anyone out there in broadcast land may email me...

You can also get in touch with Tommy Lee Walker on Facebook; granted, the profile here still has a WRWD logo on it, so I'm not sure if he checks it often:

I like most of you was a big Fan of TLW, and was upset when finding out he first left the morning airways, shortly followed by falling out all together. We all can agree that even a bad day on the air was better then listening to just about anyone else’s crap crossing the airways. We were all awaiting TLW return to the airways, most wondering whats going on.

Recently I have been hearing some pretty crazy things. Stories that TLW would eat up on the radio and have most of us pounding our steering wheels. I on several occasions have heard confirmed stories of events that Tommy took payment to DJ and then was no call no show………..Now I know we all get ill, and I do believe that the is an illness on hand. But I just don’t want to believe that the guy we all fell in love with would stand people up at there parties. Make the call let them know something has come up, and then to keep their money come on man?

If you have not already, Its time to get some help.

Now for the rest of the story:

ELLENVILLE — A well-known former radio disc jockey was arrested Sunday and charged with lying about his name to illegally get drugs from Ellenville Regional Hospital, state police said.

Thomas Loehman, 36, of Ellenville, was charged with six counts of forgery, a felony, and six counts of falsifying business records and offering a false instrument, both misdemeanors.

State police said Loehman used an alias to sign documents and get narcotics from a doctor at Ellenville Regional Hospital.

The plan was foiled when someone at the hospital recognized Loehman as “Tommy SWLee Walker,” a former disc jockey on the WRWD country radio station. Loehman and the station parted ways late last year.

The alias he allegedly used to try to get drugs at the hospital was not his radio name.

At the time of his arrest, Loehman was also wanted on a Plattekill warrant for forgery, falsely reporting an incident and possession of a forged instrument.

He was sent to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail.

Please don't judge Tommy Lee Walker. If you are a fan, try to help him...

Let's not judge Tommy Lee Walker (Thomas Loehman). If you were ever a fan or enjoyed an entertaining moment in his long professional tenure, say a prayer, send him a good thought or find a way to help. I am not a personal friend of Tommy's but recently had correspondence with him. I know he's had some bad luck and experienced some "toxic persons, places and things". I am not here to judge and I wish good things for a man whose intentions are always good. Sometimes one unfortunate incident can lead to another and suddenly life is out of control. These days, it could happen to a lot of us. The parting with WRWD was painful for Tommy. As a lot of men, his job was a big part of his life. Tommy needs our help right now. Find a way to do that even if it's just some prayers for a decent man who really needs some support right now. Tommy's voice on the radio helped me during a tragic time in my life a few years ago. I once told him he never even knew he was helping but he did. He seemed suprised but gratified and was gracious and kind in our short discussion. I hope fans, friends and concerned human beings will unite in some other site/location to return the favor he gave us all on the radio. If Tommy Lee Walker on the radio has ever brought you a smile, entertained you, raised money for your kid, helped you get into work on a difficult day, now is the time to step up. [EDIT]. Thank You and God Bless![/color]

I want to start off by saying my prayers are with Tommy Lee Walker "Thomas Loehman" and his famliy. I do not know Tommy Lee Walker. I sent him a E-mail in December and Tommy responded telling me that he was trying to get another job on the radio. Now he is in trouble with the law. His name is in the news paper under the police reports. It is going to be very hard for him to find another radio job in the area. I do not think he will be returning to the air ways any time soon in the Hudson Valley. At this point he might be better to find another radio out of the area.

Needless to say this has shocked me. I did get to know Tommy alittle from years of going to Joe's on Friday night. I am shocked.

Well innocent until proven guilty, and let the legal system do what it needs to, but skippin' out on a wedding, especially after taking all the money, is worse than anything. with the stress of planning a wedding and not having the dj show up is inexcuseable and heartless. I was trying to help him get another job in radio, but all bets are off. Janet, sorry for your bad experience, and hope that the courts can squeeze the money out of this big ego windbag.....

There's a new "fan page" on Facebook for folks who want TLW back on the air in the Hudson Valley:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Tommy...-Air-In-The-Hudson-Valley/303767157051?ref=mf

Boy, just reading some of the previous comments about him and his DJ business... How I pine for the days when reading the words "wedding" and "Tommy Lee" in the same sentence meant reading about Tommy Lee and Pamela Anderson's wedding video! Good luck to all involved...

Meanwhile, TLW posts his current Facebook status:

"Tommy Lee Walker Is Home On A Friday Night watchin' A Movie Alone... (Back To The Future) And Almost Forgot What It Was Like, As For The past 15 Years You'd Find Me In A DJ Booth at A Bar Somewhere Spinnin Country Tunes... I don't remember being home on a Friday nite since The Dukes Of Hazzard was ON in Prime-Time!"

Now that the Cat, the Bridge and the Beck are on the radio, it's time to talk Tommy again... His latest Facebook status:

"Thank YOU! I have no clue what the radio total was/is but 900+ people, "generous fans" like yourselves, made donations (to St. Jude) thru my Facebook page. Yes, There was friction between me and WRWD back in Nov that resulted in me leaving against my will after 10 years of top-rated shows. You 900+ who still cared enough about the kids no matter what was being broadcast, proves that you are the greatest fans in the world."

Tommy Lee Walker was arrested in Ellenville, NY in January of 2010 for using a assumed name to get drugs at the Ellenville Regional Hospital emergency
room. I saw this story in the Kingston Freeman if you Google Tommy Lee Walker you can find the story on line.

Woops....if folks are po'ed enough to start a facebook page to tell the truth about someone a lot of people really liked but didn't know the truth about, it's bad....its good the st jude donations went on... Shame on you, walker...having a drug problem is one thing and could possibly get some sympathy, but rippin' off a young couple like that---shame on you.....
