ELLENVILLE — A well-known former radio disc jockey was arrested Sunday and charged with lying about his name to illegally get drugs from Ellenville Regional Hospital, state police said.
Thomas Loehman, 36, of Ellenville, was charged with six counts of forgery, a felony, and six counts of falsifying business records and offering a false instrument, both misdemeanors.
State police said Loehman used an alias to sign documents and get narcotics from a doctor at Ellenville Regional Hospital.
The plan was foiled when someone at the hospital recognized Loehman as “Tommy SWLee Walker,” a former disc jockey on the WRWD country radio station. Loehman and the station parted ways late last year.
The alias he allegedly used to try to get drugs at the hospital was not his radio name.
At the time of his arrest, Loehman was also wanted on a Plattekill warrant for forgery, falsely reporting an incident and possession of a forged instrument.
He was sent to Ulster County Jail on $5,000 bail.
