Here's some gags they can use - Now that Al Zarqwei is dead, does that mean Al Roker steps up to the plate? Come on that whole story had gags all over it.. His "Death Photo" looked like this geek I knew in college who passed out after too many beer bongs. I thought for sure the US would magic marker his face, maybe do it up in girl's makeup.

Couldn't have nothing to do with your material, I'm sure.On a more productive trend (not likely), now that it'll cost stations $325,000 for saying "Honking on the bobo"-- how many minions from the Parent Television Council are recording both mornings and afternoons on BCN? I have a friend doing a top ten rock morning gig who's been told he can't say "PEE" on the air anymore. What's okay? Go winkey? Make water?Some have it in their contracts now that will be liable for fines. Who could afford to sign that?

It is tough I got dumped while doing a talk show the other night for saying that someone was going to get their salad tossed when they went to prison, I was also dumped during a live read while referring to the high cost of gas, for saying " if you're tired of being crapped on at the pump" which i didnt see as very objectionable, but it got dumped. IT's not a good time to try to do a shockk show, aside from the fact that the shock thing is pretty passe now, even O and A reject being referred to as "shock jocks", that's not to say that T and R, are but the point is that it's another world now. Again I wish them well in their new gig.

The main content that their show will be based on is the street audio bits that rich does. Classic stuff. Probably some of the best audio bits you will find (if thats what you like) around. The guy is fearless when it comes to bits. The rest of the show will just kind of fall into place.

If you Bostonians think Toucher is bad now, wait until he starts talking about 80s sitcoms and song lyrics. Or engineers weeklong visits from "comedian" Craig Gass (I hope you like Tracy Morgan impressions). Or has Tucker Max on at least once a month to talk about how many skanks he's banged--you know, the kind of stories most of us outgrew when we were 14 ("So then you nailed her huh? Man that is so cool!"). And then there are the drinking stories. Tons and tons of drinking stories. More than anything else, Toucher's insistence on running this and every other topic into the ground is what drove listeners away from his last station. Unfortunately, it doesn't sound like he's learned anything. Plus, he's brought along that 40-something alcoholic loser "Crash" Clark. Talk about a station cancer! If this group lasts two years it'll be a miracle. But then again what do I know? I'm just one of those dumb truck-driving rednecks from Atlanta who never could appreciate Toucher's sophisticated repartee. Gotta go now. It's my turn to tend the still so that mama can go protest all that Godless book-learnin' that's going on down at the high school. Yee-hawwwwwwwww!!!

I almost forgot: Toucher likes to pass himself off as some kind of literary expert because, get this, he actually READS BOOKS! What he won't tell you is that the books are almost always sports biographies and hip-hop histories. Has he name-dropped Augusten Burroughs yet? Don't worry, he will (about a thousand times). He also thinks his own writings are so profound that he actually reads his own blogs on the air. If that's not entertainment, then I don't know what is.

So i tried to listen to them yesterday, to give them another chance because maybe it isn't fair to judge them on their first week, and every time I tuned in BCN they were playing music. Not necessarily a bad thing, but can be a good sign for a show that bragged they'd only play five songs an hour. Did the PD tell them to play more music, or did they just run out of things to say? (or maybe they were on vacation already) :-\

Yeah - I've been noticing a bit more music on their show as well.The Jury is still out on them for me, they seem (right now) to be copycats of O&A, with little identity of their own. I wasn't hooked on K&M on WZLX when they started either, but I now find myself listening and enjoying them more and more. . . so I'll just have to give Toucher and Rich some more time to "get their feet wet"Roach

Well you know how that goes Roach, if their ratings increase they'll be playing less music as time goes on, maybe eventually justr doing a talk show like O and A evolved into doing. IF they dont hit the nthey'll be increasing the amount of music they play because that is what their Pd is experienced in. So time will tell. My guess is that as much as Carrie likes to yap they'll give her a run for her money, without dissing her you have to remember she did up to 10 minute breaks when she was doing MID DAYS.

Since when does any personality "allways" have something creative to say? Never!!! There will allways be good bits and bad bits on any show. Once they get their feet wet a little bit Boston will start to warm up to them.

well if so..... that's dumb. Anybody who crows about their ratings not even one trend in is asking to be ripped a new one. Especially since they're starting WAAAAY behind the eight ball considering the state of that station overall. AGAIN I wish them well, I hope they do click with Boston and kick ass.

It was odd because the story talked about bouncing back from the David Lee Roth mess, so the story really should have been about O&A, but I guess whomever wrote it couldn't think of any other angle to go at the story from.
