TV Show Cancellation Thread (including ending ones)

I know some people didn't like A&E when they carried shows like Duck Dynasty and Storage Wars, but since they've gone to more shows like Live PD they've lost me as a viewer, and this was even before recent events.

Now THIS is a shame. A wonderful program, Dan Abrams was a great host. It will be missed.

Personally I did notice they made light of lots of the individuals that were profiled on the show live pd. As far as i know that court cam and other legal based programs are not going to be canceled so.

Live PD shouldn't have been canceled just because of the protests around the country it explained what was happening in the studio and helped finds missing kids as well. I hope that Live PD will find a new network since it was the number 1 show Fri & Sat night.

From what I understand, given the recent events, both COPS and Live PD were suffering from optic-problems, by frequently showing police administering brutality toward citizens, with a disproportionately high number of African American citizens.

also, not to mention they destroyed video evidence of a fatal incident in a cop killed a unarmed black man.

If we can reasonably assume the pandemic isn’t going away for a while, and the news cycle continues to be as active as it has been (seems a reasonable bet), this could be an interesting way for ABC to bring some actual news to middays. I suspect, though, at some point it’s going to morph into a fluff fest—much as I hope I’m wrong.

What? They never cancel anything. No show has gotten ratings so low that it was cancelled as a result. "Dynasty" may be the least-watched show in the history of network TV (based on the official numbers) yet it gets renewed again and again.

Nonsense. The fact that they have new shows means other shows are cancelled.

CW has cancelled Katy Keene

Lucy Hale now has two "one-and-done" shows that aired on The CW. Her previous show on that network, Life Sentence, was axed after 13 episodes, and spent the back half of its existence in a Friday night burnoff slot. My wife and I enjoyed LS (cute show) but only watched the pilot of Katy Keene--very much a Gen-Z orientation.

I recall that The Tomorrow People and Frequency were another two CW shows that got the ax after a single season, but those were a few years ago.

Make that almost never, but shows just keep coming back again and again.

There were four shows that weren't cancelled but merely ended because they had achieved their goal. "Big Bang Theory" wasn't cancelled. It just ended. Same for "Modern Family". So on The CW they did the same with "Arrow", "iZombie", "Crazy Ex" and "Jane the Virgin".
