Wow.
I'm glad you guys didn't hear the first attempts at The Regular Guys Show. I would have just put a bullet in my head back then.
In response to a couple of things posted here:
1. The sound was pretty bad at first but I think #2 is a big improvement on that front.
2. Any good talk show sounds like forced conversation until it settles into a groove.
3. That 'something missing' is a staff (producers, engineers, etc.). It's a podcast, not a radio show. It should be compared to other podcasts, not other radio shows.
4. I agree that I'm learning to lead and that needs work.
5. Larry and I were told again and again that our style didn't have a chance to find an audience and all those people turned out to be wrong.
I've frankly been surprised at how well Jimmy and I work together. He's fun to work with and I'm proud of what we've put out there because I know how much better it can, and will get. I do appreciate good criticism but most of these remarks seem designed to strangle the baby in the crib. Give it some time to grow. I have the same feeling in my gut about this that I had about the Reg Guys before the ratings came.
Keep a slightly open mind and check out what we're doing from time to time. I think you'll hear growth.
