WBAP-820 AM Stereo?

I should point out - C-Quam AM tuners are still in great demand, even if there are no AM stereo stations in the vicinity. The reason is that they sound incredibly good because they use product detection instead of envelope detection.
I've always liked the way the AM synchronous detector works in my little manual tuned Sony SRF-A100. Tuning it is more like tuning an FM radio the way it captures the signal. And like you said even on mono stations, set to wide stereo mode has great fidelity out the earphone jack to a suitable amplifier and speakers.

I hear the same bad quality fidelity on my Radio Shack Accurian HD Tabletop when WBAP 820 broadcasts in HD. How embarrassing for the landmark station ! ! :(

WBAP hasnt Run HD in a long time.

I must have been mistaken, while in the car, the other night, I thought the HD indicator was lit when I had 820 on... but I was scanning channels, and wasn't there long....
