Mistake, wrong post sorry guys.

Being that Omnia is one of the two big boys, common marketing logic would be to cling to protecting their higher-priced product line. Hopefully it doesn't hurt their upper-ended processor sales!

Group,
Since the question was asked...Our sales/marketing gang went out and did research as to what the world marketplace needed, and this is wat they came back with. So, I listened, and we went in that direction.
But, at the same time, we have not abandoned our other efforts and are pushing forward with development on new stuff. Just as the PC industry brings out newer models with more power and functionality, they're also reducing cost. Same here. At the end of the day, while processing is our passion, it's also a business, and we need to be aware of that part too.
Sadly, for those attending NAB this year, there will be less companies there, and much is due to economic strife, and/or not keeping abreast of the business landscape.
OK, enough of the Biz-101 course for today!

I've adjusted the processor numerous times to try and solve the pumping/ breathing issues with our transmitter by turning down the drive, attack, and release of the bass, as well as adjusting the ThunderBass options avail. on the unit.....which it did, however that came at the sacrifice of clarity of the highs and mids depending on the music material being played. What I would like to have is that typical "Top-40's" station sound......but I'm having difficulty in achieving that....

That's funny. I guess I'm not the only one who thinks the Cosmic preset is the best to start with. I have an Omnia 1 hooked into my stereo system at home (yeah, I know...wtf, right?). When I hooked it up, I went to the Cosmic preset....and tweaked it out a little from there over the next week or so.
I think it sounds quite nice.![]()

Stephanie, I would love to hear about the tweaks you made to the Cosmic preset. I am a rookie with Omnias, so all I've done so far is just test different presets!

I basically just altered the attack and delay speeds on all four bands (increased attack speed on highs, especially). Also played a little with the AGC. I can't exactly remember what settings I have off the top of my head, but this Saturday I can look and write them down and give them to you.....
Although you're better off going with what you hear through your own earphones, to be safe.
Besides, on Saturday, my processor-guru friend will stop by to hear it and tell me how badly I screwed it up, or not. HAHAHAHA![]()

Cool, thanks!

So it turns out my golden-eared friend tells me I tend to favor a very "open" sound. It's the second processor he's heard me tweak.
Last night we were listening to some WNBC and WABC airchecks....damn, those things sounded balls-to-the-walls heavy! Great on talk, especially WNBC, but I think it sucked on music -- he looked at me like I was nuts. ;D :-\
