Format Wheels At 105.7

Someone said the station may go “rhythmic AC” at 4 p.m., which means dance music with a mix of disco tunes from the 1970s (Alicia Bridges, Donna Summer), the 1980s (Shannon, Jody Watley), the 1990s (TLC, Keith Sweat) and today (Lady GaGa, Justin Timberlake). Cox tried a format at 97.1 sort of like this a few years back and failed miserably.
Rhythmic AC would compete with Kiss,

Would it? Kiss plays such old stuff. Their positioner is "old school R&B." I'm wondering if rhythmic AC would be closer to Majic 107.5/97.5. I don't really know.
I'm hoping The Music Man can fill us in. He knows the format.
