WGST back on FM - It's about time!

BOOO HISSSS aren't there already enough stations playing the same old crap?? Sad, oh well, one more station to win from that I can understand when they say to call in at least???? That was lousy to say Peach is back though.

Shake Your Groove Thing... Peaches and Herb. I wonder how many songs they can do keeping up the groove theme?
Yeah, the whole "groove" thing is weird. Is everyone sure this isn't another stunt?

curious "ID" liner: WWVA ---------- ATLANTA.

was there a "canton" buried in there that i didn't hear?

I was wondering the same thing. Sure didn't sound like it was in there.

I think this is the real deal. The holiday stuff imaging was not up to the quality that they are using for Groove 105.7.

Song #3: Groove Is In the Heart. ... I will stop posting the songs... I guess they can go longer than I thought they could on the groove theme. :)

They can do a "fake" station ID any time they want, as long as they do the real one once an hour, near the TOH (although the top-of-hour part of the rule isn't enforced anymore).

Agreed. Except for Indie 103.1, most if not all happen at 5pm, don't they?

sure, they can say whatever they like as long as they get the real ID in there once an hour, and of course the real ID is the call letters followed by the city of licence (anything else afterwards is fine, although not technically part of the ID). what caught my ear was them actually using the CALL LETTERS - WWVA in the cut.

Star 94 used to (maybe still does) have a cut that says "STAR 94 - ATLANTA" but you never hear them say WSTR - ATLANTA without the SMYRNA following the call letters.

maybe WWVA - ATLANTA was just a "fake" ID to make me ask the question. haha

The website is in Spanglish...it says 10,000 songs in a row, but no mention of 10,000 songs in a row on the air...every song so far involves the word "groove". Let's call it like it is....STUNT!

They just did a blurb about 10,000 songs in a row. I really think the imaging would be way too expensive for a stunt.

Yeah, I just heard - okay you got me on that one. But, why is the website half Viva/Groove?

Well, the news reader that is running all of CC right now can only do so much. :)

It varies....96 Rock flipped to Project at 12pm....99x relaunched at 97.9 at 9am. But yeah, most of our flips have happened during afternoon drive (I remember being on the way home from work when Z93 flipped to Dave).

Rock100.5 was at the start of AM drive at 6 AM, 94Q to Star 94 was (IIRC) at about 11 PM--sometime late in the evening. Wasn't Power 99 to 99X done late in the AM (almost midday)?

96 Rock to Project was at 9 AM, not noon.
