Joseph_Gallant said:Such an early move would prompt WBMX-104.1 (which I think will replace WODS-103.3 as CBS radio's all-Christmas station)
Joseph_Gallant said:As for the new format of WODS, I doubt Amp will have live announcers. I feel the only way they'd be able to compete against the long-standing WXKS-107.9 is to run a "maximum music" format: A high-energy, automated Top-40 format with limited commercials and without announcers.
Haha you are too funnyraccoonradio said:3 all Christmas stations? What did we do to deserve that? 2's enough but I don't
think 3 would work but you never know.

>>There's way too many Rock and Roll Radio stations
I repeat, from the first episode of WKRP In Cincinnatti:
LES: But there are already lots of rock and roll stations in Cincinnatti
ANDY: Well, why do you think that is, Les?
LES: Well, I think it's a plot of some sort.
ANDY: (chuckles) No, Les, Rock and roll is where the money is.

And that's why Amp flipped. And that's why Harbor flipped. Country, not so much here
in Boston (WKLB does well but I don't think there's enough of an audience)
These companies are going for what will sell ads. What will attract an audience.

listening pleasure."
