So Jay Culter is trending on Twitter. I wondered why. Saw many great posts, including this one from a guy in Wisconsin:
"Saw Jay Cutler trending and thought maybe he had the corona. It worried me...Not just for his health. But if he had it, he’d pass it to the Packers."
Los Angeles Sparks guard Syndey Wiese tested positive for the novel coronavirus, the Sparks said in a statement Friday.
Wiese is the first known WNBA player to test positive for the virus, the Los Angeles Times reported. The WNBA is currently not in season.
Wiese, 24, was tested after returning from playing overseas in Spain.
“She’s been in self-isolation at home in Phoenix since her return and is encouraging everyone to practice social distancing to help prevent the spread of the virus,” the basketball organization said.
Wiese is showing mild symptoms, she said in a series of tweets Friday.
“The symptoms I showed were loss of taste and smell,” she said. “They are newer symptoms but they ARE symptoms.”
The WNBA player said she was denied testing twice because she wasn’t showing enough symptoms.
That's a complicated thing. One of the reasons these tribes were able to start gambling casinos on their reservations regardless of state or federal law has to do with "tribal sovereignty."
If you have time, read this:

If you're from Connecticut, you probably know a lot about the one in your state. It's an interesting story.
Thursday would have been the first day of the season. Although there is no set date for when action will return, ESPN‘s Jeff Passan says the MLB and MLBPA agreed that play will not resume until:
“There are no bans on mass gatherings that would limit the ability to play in front of fans. However, the commissioner could still consider the “use of appropriate substitute neutral sites where economically feasible”;
There are no travel restrictions throughout the United States and Canada;
Medical experts determine that there would be no health risks for players, staff or fans, with the commissioners and union still able to revisit the idea of playing in empty stadiums.”

Here are talks that the MLB are doing in case COVID-19 orders are lifted.
With the flatten-the-curve approach, it seems unlikely that it will be safe enough to meet everyone's standards for crowds before the scheduled end of the season. Revisiting the "studio baseball" empty stadium approach could be the only way to get anything out of 2020.
James Dolan, the executive chairman of Madison Square Garden Company and owner of the New York Knicks, has tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Knicks announced Dolan's diagnosis Saturday night. It is not clear when he was tested or when he received the diagnosis.
Dolan is the first U.S. major pro sports owner known to have tested positive for the virus. He also owns the NHL's New York Rangers, along with other venues like Radio City Music Hall, The Hulu Theatre and The Chicago Theatre.
"The Madison Square Garden Company Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Jim Dolan has tested positive for coronavirus," the Knicks' statement said. "He has been in self-isolation and is experiencing little to no symptoms. He continues to oversee business operations."
Red Bull motorsport boss Helmut Marko said he advised his drivers to become infected with coronavirus while the season is in hiatus.
The 76-year-old said he had the idea to bring his Formula 1 drivers and juniors together in a camp, which "would be the ideal time for the infection to come".
"They are all strong young men in good health. That way they would be prepared whenever the action starts," he said.
The rest of Red Bull management were against the idea, which was abandoned.

The leader of Red Bull Racing is underfire for this suggestion over COVID-19 exposure. Yes its similar to the old Chicken Pox Party and Measles Party of decades past.

The owner of NY Knicks, James Dolan has been tested positive for COVID-19
We’ve covered a number of sports leagues and organizations who have turned to video games to simulate seasons that have been postponed or canceled amid the coronavirus outbreak. And now, ESPN has announced plans to broadcast a players-only tournament featuring NBA players competing in 2K Sports’ NBA 2K20.
The NBA 2K20 Player Tournament will start airing this Friday, April 3rd, with games running through April 11th. In all, 16 players have signed on, including marquee names like Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets and Trae Young from the Atlanta Hawks.
“We’re thrilled to partner with the NBA and NBPA to bring basketball back to fans throughout the world and to help those in need during these uncertain times,” Jason Argent, 2K senior vice president of sports strategy and licensing, said in a news release from ESPN.
All Champions League and Europa League matches have been suspended "until further notice" by Uefa because of the global coronavirus pandemic.
All national team games in June have also been postponed, including play-off matches for Euro 2020 - already postponed to 2021 - and qualifying matches for the Women's Euro 2021.
The European governing body's 55 member associations met on Wednesday.
The Premier League is suspended until at least 30 April.
The Euro 2020 play-offs are set to feature Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Scotland.
Premier League clubs Manchester City and Chelsea are both still in the Champions League, while Manchester United, Wolves and Scottish Premiership side Rangers are all in the Europa League.
The Belgian soccer league has become the first major European competition to recommend ending its season with the current standings declared final because of the coronavirus outbreak.
The league says Club Brugge would be awarded the title if the advice is confirmed at a general assembly meeting on April 15. Brugge would also qualify for next season’s Champions League.
Brugge is currently 15 points ahead of second-place Gent with one game to go before the season-ending playoffs.
The league management board has agreed it is unclear when team training could resume and says it is “very unlikely” any games with fans attending could be played before June 30.
The league says even games in empty stadiums would put stress on public health and security services dealing with the pandemic. It agreed the risk of infecting players would also damage the competition’s integrity.

The Senior PGA Championship in Michigan has been canceled.
The PGA of America says it based its decision on Michigan’s stay-at-home order that was enacted March 23.
The Senior PGA in Benton Harbor, Michigan, was to be played May 21-24. It will be held next year at Southern Hills in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It will return to Benton Harbor the following year.
