Whose voice do you wish you got to hear more of?

So let me see if I understand this. If someone has a nice voice, they need more time on the radio? Are you kidding?

As a lay-person I would assume that was how time on the radio was determined.

Nah, I should've said: the both have great voices and both happen to deserve more airtime. On the other hand, Steve Barnes has a great voice, but he deserves the amount of mic time he's currently getting.

Good Call on Steve Barnes

In my opinion, Randy Reeves in the laid back mid-day role on Z93 was one of the most listenable CHR guys of the era, period.

I hear his produced work still, of course, but it would be nice to hear what he'd sound like today as an on-air host.

I remember back in the late 1970's listening to Randy Reeves mid-mornings after the "Nearly Famous" (as they called it) Ross and Wilson show. Yes, he was very laid-back but great to listen to. If I remember correctly, Dale O'Brien did afternoon drive-time and he was followed by Steve Maples doing evenings.

Z93 back then was at the top of their game and always great to listen to.

I agree on Randy Reeves and R&W. Z-93, jumped the shark after they left.

You are also correct about Dale O'Brien--although IMO Dale O'Brien was too AC for Z-93, and was a better fit once he moved on to (IIRC) B98.5 and later Peach.

So where is Dale O'Brien? (these days)

I had the pleasure of getting to know Randy Reeves a little bit when he was the imaging voice at a station where I worked. We became friends and had lunch together and you won't meet much more of a nicer or more genuine person. We need more like him in the industry.

Kaedy Kiely...check!

Orf (I miss him during my morning drive)
Willard (why'd you leave us for the mountains!?)
Reverend Andy (great voice and great taste in music)
Jimmy Baron (someone get this guy back on the air)
Tim Andrews (one of Atlanta's best talents, IMO)
