WHY IS WSB CONTINUING WITH HERMAN CAIN ?

Another issue he has going against him is that I get the sense he's prefers the comfort zone of an "amen choir" calling in, rather than taking on confrontational (but DEFINITELY more entertaining callers, like Boortz would do routinely). Cain is strictly Sunday-morning-after-church programming, and nothing more. M-F morning drive needs a FAR more energetic and multi-dimensional voice (or collection of voices). Cain is as politically predictable as a streetlight -- and yes, I too *LOATH* that bumper music he's using; smacks of Hannity knock-off.

I wake up at ungodly hours sometimes and hear what's on in the middle of the night. Andy Dean is so much more fun to listen to that anything on in the daytime. Same goes for John Gibson's show over at 920am. Dennis Miller is also a conservative show that is fun to listen to. However, I wish Steve Deace would go crawl back in his hole. Awful, awful drivel. Anyway, however long Cain lasts, I just wish they'd put someone on the air with a little more humor.

I don't have anything against the man's politics, but the 3-hour "Life and Times of Herman Cain" is PAINFUL. And it DOES say something about the man when every other word out of his mouth comes from the school of "me"/"my"/"I". That's fine when he was a CEO inside a boardroom creating a vision and a forceful way forward toward success organizationally (or even as a president, had he had the opportunity), but as an ENTERTAINER, it's a pedantic bore. **BLECCH**

...and his attendant choir heaved a sigh of "A-MEN"...

I started this blog because I cannot listen to Herman. I just want to say "thank you" to all of you who agree with me that WSB needs to replace him, and replace him NOW....!!
Shame on WSB for allowing this man to occupy such a prime daytime slot on both AM 750
and 95.5 FM. Two wonderful signals down the toilet from 9-Noon every day !

Dave, glad we agree. I'm an Atlanta ex-pat currently living "in exile" in San Francisco, and with the 3-hour time difference, it is HELL ON EARTH to wake up to the man's voice at 6AM Pacific time. He is SORELY testing my loyalty to my hometown, and lately have been dialing over to Bill Handel's morning show on L.A.'s KFI -- in many respects, with his own off-color remarks accompanied by his hilarious crew, it's the SoCal version of the old Boortz, especially when Royal (R.I.P., man!) was still with us. I'll also add that aside to my loyalty to Atlanta, local San Francisco talkers are *painful* as well -- either complete leftist crackpots, or truly angry and bitter old-school repubs -- and in both cases, like Cain, totally predictable and therefore TOTALLY dull radio, with their own attendant 'A-MEN' choirs.

Boortz and Handel have the co-jones and understanding to have nutty opposition callers to keep things interesting and moving like hockey...and NOT Cain's shuffleboard.
