I just hope he doesn't get rid of the K I M N call letters one bit but tweak 100.1 to make it better. WIth the wolf(who knows that 92.5 frequency has been almost every format under the sun almost). For KOOL well that station has already went down hill really fast when it modified it's self.Dr Jam said:The news release is now posted on radioandrecords.com and allaccess.com.

This is a good question..
What do you all think Jeff well do with 100.1.105.1 and 92.5?
radiodude aka wiker
Actually its not a done deal yet I think it has to be approved by some people first. As for 105.1 not sure but for 92.5 they should bring back Willie. Not sure what needs to be done with 100.3.
It's amazing in this Town that everyone wants 92.5 to Remain COUNTRY. Lets see Country was tried on 92.5 back in the 90's Big Dog Country KZBD if i'm not mistaking....plus you have 98.5..KYGO There is 97.9 which is country.........Why do you have 15 thousand COUNTRY STATIONS in this Town.
CBS runied what was a Good format of CLassic Soul and R&B by Killing Jammin for yet ANOTHER COUNTRY station. It's ashamed How many Damn People on this board always wants COUNTRY to stay. You already have enough of this Format ::
:
:'( :'(
Calm Down will you? The only reason CBS got rid of Jammin was ratings.
Because CBS didn't want Jammin to make it and Promote it properly. It was the only place for Classic R&B and Soul & Disco, why didn't they Flip Mix 100 to Country....Mix isn't doing any better.![]()
Actually if you looked it, the Jammin format across the country has been dying and has been a very unpopular format for any station to hold on to. So CBS saw that to that people wasn't really listening to Jammin and the commercials were not doing to will either on 92.5. The way it is right now on 92.5 at least they have spiced up The wolf to make it sound more attractive and fun to listen to. Where as some of the other country stations haven't. I do applaud them for having the freedom to change the format twice so far in reflection of whatever is going on. This Christmas theme is a first for 92.5 (as I can recall) because I don't remember 92.5 ever playing Christmas music before. So it is nice that they can do that and I hope Wilks doesn't kill that one bit and realizes that the people over there at 92.5 is unique and have talent and creativity. I would also never understand why we have so many country stations here in Colorado.. It is either a very popular format or it is just a format that PD's think well bring in the listeners or the bucks.
PUtting country on 100.3? Right.. that signal is so terrible, i can compare it to 101.9 at least.. Up here in Northern Colorado we can't here 100.3 and there for country would do badly for 100.3.
They need to move the stick for 100.3 up north here to make any difference actually.
