I'm sure if there was some exciting new Tejano product out there, they'd jump on it.
Yeah, and stations in South Texas are playing artist like Los Huracanes del Norte, Duelo, Pesado, Tigrillos (which are not Tejano). You do realize that those stations are slowly (or maybe I should be saying rapidly) moving out of Tejano. KKPS in the valley is now 100% Regional Mexican. All of Corpus Christi (Except one) are starting to lean into a Regional Mexican sound and leaving Tejano behind. Every Tejano station is going Regional Mexican (With the exception of Univision stations, which will never go that route).luckros said:Well Univision can do a better job of updating their playlist with new music from current artists. For example a new song that airplays in South Texas by Jimmy Gonzales Y Grupo Mazz sometimes does not get airplay in Houston. Lately Eric O at KRTX has been doing a great job adding some new requests. Thanks Eric keep up the good job in Keeping Tejano ALIVE!!!
I don't need to listen. I have listened for a long time now in the past. Bilingual DJ's does not mean they are Tejano (it's more about the culture in South Texas). Reggeaton stations had Bilingual DJ's and that doesn't make them Tejano. They dropped the "Your Numero Uno for Tejano" slogan last year.Willis1000 said:>KKPS in the valley is now 100% Regional Mexican
I dunno. Sounds pretty Tejano to me. DJs in English.
They still stream. Listen for yourself.
