The flip or Delilah’s show? That’s a joke, right?
There’s no wrong answer here.

That really is a good question. Why keep WJBR online when there are many other stations that play adult contemporary music?
Throw WJBR on WBEN-HD2 , run it jockless (much like WYSP on WIP-HD2), than forget it ever existed.
Having said that, I liked Club Ben.
Does anyone even listen to the HD2s?
My guess is not really.
Which begs the question, why have it to begin with?
I know I listen to WMGK’s HD-2 (“oldies”) a lot.Does anyone even listen to the HD2s?
Streaming ads are often sold separately from OTA.Clients aren’t fooled. Come on…
Getting the last revenue before the end is one thing; I never worked with a single client who would be fooled by nonsense like that.Streaming ads are often sold separately from OTA.
My guess is they're trying to cling to that revenue stream for a while longer.
It definitely is.That audio on the HD2 of WBEN-FM is some of the worst I've ever heard.
I like WMGK-HD2 Oldies also.
The revenue will still be there on 99.5 FM til the final day.Streaming ads are often sold separately from OTA.

MGK HD-2 is the reason I bought an HD radio for my car. Commercial-free oldies? Sign me up.I know I listen to WMGK’s HD-2 (“oldies”) a lot.
I get that the online station will preserve the WJBR brand; however, what has made WJBR-FM special is that it is a Delaware radio station with content, including advertising, that is relevant to the state. The WJBR.com station will likely not have any of the Delawarean characterists of the soon-to-be-gone FM station.Plus the goodwill of "continuing the WJBR brand/station" after the sale
Even if they somehow braught it back later on some other frequency, wouldn't that be an uphill battle, especially after listeners started listening to B101?The idea of goodwill isn't realistic. For effectively the entire audience, the brand isn't being preserved. It's going away. Some may, for a while, stream it when that's an option, but we're talking a meaningless number. There are a plethora of other streaming options, and that little thing tucked away somewhere isn't going to be a drop in the ocean. From a business standpoint, it is efficient to stash the brand in case there's some value to it down the road. Cool, good for them. It's not like it replaced anything of value, so it's a wash for them.
Of course it would. And the odds of reviving a relationship are next to nil. But if you’re going to bother running something on the HD2 wasteland, next to nil is probably better than the odds club Ben will ever be useful.Even if they somehow braught it back later on some other frequency, wouldn't that be an uphill battle, especially after listeners started listening to B101?
Club Ben hasn’t been touched since the summer of 2007. I’m actually gonna miss it. I liked hearing the hits of 2007 all these years.Of course it would. I liked it too, but did wonder how Club Ben woulda sounded different if they updated the playlist for music thru 2023 in keeping with its Rhythmic AC format.Club Ben hasn’t been touched since the summer of 2007. I’m actually gonna miss it. I liked hearing the hits of 2007 all these years.
