WJES, WCRS and WYOR Roper's stations off

WBZT-FM is licensed to Mauldin but located way up on Paris Mtn. in Greenville. WTPT-FM is licensed to Forest City, NC but I believe they're in Spartanburg now with WSPA.
WORG studio's in Orangeburg licensed to Elloree and transmitter and tower in Bowman. Guess we could start a thread about this.
The Big DM (WWDM) has always been a Sumter Radio station since the 40's. It began in Sumter with 3000 watts as WFIG with a blind DJ playing beautiful music. The offical ID must mention Sumter even tonight. The backup tower is still at Wedgefield and the filiments are lite now as a emergency backup to the main transmitter on 601 at screaming eagle road. At ont time 101.3 was a clear channel and covered all of S.C. The FCC did away with clear channels and now uses a shoe horn to license stations...
The AM statioin WFIG was the 40's . WFIG -FM was in the 70's. My mistake...

Not nearly as many people stop by, or even care about, the physical location of a station as they once did.
Getting back to the subject of this, these stations have been on but are still off a ton. Where is the FCC? Have they cut back as well?
The FCC won't know a station is off until they are notified. Anyway the WCRS tower is unlit. Power is off on all three. I am reporting the WCRS and WYOR towers to the FAA as unlit in the morning. The WJES tower is under 200 feet as is the 1390 WROP which I guess is also off. They don't need reporting. It would be bad if a helicopter going to the hospital in Greenwood to clip the 1450 tower at night.......

You have 10 days before having to notify the feds about off-air or reduced power operation. Even then, it's just notification. After 1 year of being silent (off), they can take the license, but won't.

Good luck calling the FAA. They've outsourced the reporting and made if very hard to report lights out. Besides ... does he own or rent the towers? If he rents, the he's not the responsible party. The tower owner is.

Shouldn't they have filed an STA at least? WYOR (94.1) is off as well. They apparently have no intention of bringing them back to air anytime soon.
He's supposed to notify the FCC when they went silent. He also by law was to keep the WCRS and the WYOR towers lit, but the electricity was disconnected most likely as it wasn't paid. That's true for sure for WJES.
Cromely's (Ford) in Saluda did some work on the 94.1 van, which they have at the dealership..........

94.1 hasn't been on for weeks I don't think. I'd think all the stations are pretty much dead unless they're sold.

Any updates on this situation? 94.1 (the only one I can get here) is still off totally, all I get is static with sometimes a skip from 94.1 in Atlanta. However, it's still listed as licensed and on-air by the FCC. :
