Now they shut the transmitter off on 101.5 and turn on 101.7 which is playing Sugarland's Stuck Like Glue....

what in the world is going on???
Lateral Stunting...where not only the music varies, so does the frequency.

Here's my daily redundant 101.7 check: They're STILL on 101.7 as of 8:33 AM EDT on Friday, March 25, 2011. Perhaps earlier this AM, as lovejamminoldies heard, they were testing the 101.5 tower.
Like I said earlier, perhaps Main Line won't stunt and will just shut off 101.7 and turn on 101.5 as "Click". We'll see.
I'm sure WNKO is ready to move to their more powerful site. This can't be making them very happy that KC is STILL on 101.7.
One question I have is if ML is going to go Adult CHR why in the blue hell did they blow up Z-93 three plus years ago? ML doesn't know what it wants.
Just heard KC say they're sponsoring a May 5 concert...someone stated this earlier. Also just heard some imaging that was showcasing that they've been "Your Hometown Country Station for 23 years". This story makes about as much sense as the first "Mission:Impossible" flick...although a Cliff's Notes manual could've helped out there theoretically. The plot thickens...

We'll see what happens. ZBurns seems to have it right.
I think ZBurns is right on the money. I never thought about moving KC to 102.9. It is licensed to Urbana after all(Even though the tower is in Springfield). The only thing I disagree with is doing away with WROU...they do good numbers so no need to blow them up.

In listening to their online stream on "Tune In Radio" on my Android powered phone, I find it odd that the stream is playing country music but the songs are from Daughtry, The Script, and others.

I like ZBurns' idea.

Something's DEFINITELY up. If this and the 101.5 testing last night doesn't prove it, nothing will.

People are newly registering and hiding their e-mails. Be careful. If I owned a station this is what I would do to give legitimacy to one's theory and throw off the competition. We are amateurs having fun at a hobby and speculating.
The wolf 101.5 has been thrown out there by one whom hides their e-mail. As well as two others whom think my idea of station swapping within the Mainline Dayton line up is a good one. Validation of what is potentially happening or smokescreen to throw the competition off to what is going to actually happen? One thing I know from having worked in the business is one knows which is right, we will not know until 101.5 is fired up and 101.7 is laid to rest.

IF it is a station swap within mainline's Dayton line up, then it explains why things are not going as speedily as WE think it should be. BUT we do not know what the hell is going on behind the scenes.
I am only trying to look at this situation from a logical standpoint, but there are angles I missed. Like sports on 101.5. But only mainline knows what their paid consultants told them and only they know what they have in their budget, what are the numbers they want to achieve? Is this being done to divest Dayton to raise capital? Do they need the cash flow? Has Dayton performed for them as expected? These are all things we are not privy to. So do not be confused by this acceptance of my theory especially since two of the ones saying it is a good point etc. are newly registered and hiding their identity.
As far as the wolf 101.5, that is not going to beat k-99. Is it going to dent their numbers enough? I don't think so. It has to be today's best country and the mix of the best of the best from the past to get you hooked and singing along. Then you will say I like this new 1010.5 or whatever because there is always a good song on etc. But to only play the older stuff is not going to do it. And how old of music are they going to do?? IF they do as k did when they came on the air back in the late 80' early 90's then maybe, just maybe. Those days there was always good music on K-99 and we at kiss stood out for we took a chance and played the best of the new stuff they would not. We were #1 in Clark and Champaign counties and they never beat us, so in time their consultants told them this and that and THEY changed. More like Kiss than kiss like them. It is proven in their home market where their signal was dominant.
There home county had 550,000 plus people. Are largest home county had 150,000 or so. Which got more diaries?? We had a horrible non existent signal in Montgomery county, BUT we kicked ass in Clark county. If we went head to head, AND had the marketing they did.... we could have beat them! But it would have been close.
But all this time has elapsed and K-99 has the upper hand of being the established country leader. Change can happen, but will mainline make the commitment? Can they afford the investment?

Folks: WE WILL SEE!! Enjoy the ride!

Also the Rebel is gone so K-99 is standing alone in Dayton. Maybe mainline was not going country, but now is and they are scrambling to get ready??? And by throwing click out there was to confuse everyone?? But I still say to take a legitimate stab at k-99 you have to do it on a bigger stick!!
See there is sooo much we do not know and a lot more we do not realize!

Right on Z! There is a ton going on we don't know about. I wish I was a fly(No, not the station)on the wall at 717 E. David Rd.

I don't work for Mainline either. 9-13 years ago I worked at CC, but I got an enginnering degree and moved on. Still having friends in the business, something is happening on E David Rd, but I have no idea what. Even the friend I spoke to didn't have a clue except that no one tells them anything. When I asked him about this he was surprised.

You guys have noticed the station, itself, does not stream, right?

You guys realize that means one of you in this thread has (illegally) put up that stream on that irrelevant website that only internet radio geeks look at, right? That the station, the company, and no one else in the rest of the world know anything about it, right?

So you guys realize one of you is just jerking the gerkins of all the rest of you, right?

Localguy6-
I thought this was the case as in the past I have tried to find your stream , but could not. That explains why it had static it it when it returned to Kiss -country's illegal stream the other night. Who would be privy to the nicely produced click 101.5 stuff we heard?? And it was positioned as Dayton's newest radio station. So someone went to some effort somewhere?
An enigma wrapped in a riddle wrapped in a mystery. Sherlock would be busy today!!
