Finally some movement. Now maybe a 10 page thread starts
All very good points........ and this was a press release, the TBT employee couldn't be bothered with doing any asking the CBS spokesperson any questions, she just repeated the press release, nice for CBS radio and easy for the TBT employee.distantfm said:A very PC press release. Reality is that WILD will have a signal bigger than the beat, and similar to FLZ........and a dial placement right between the two......help them keep on equal footing, or better than the competition.
Smooth Jazz......well, we'll see if the arb numbers tank after this move......I say they will suffer pretty bad
on another note, do you think we'll ever see this from Cox ? Take 97x to 105.5, or something like that ?
if not, why not ?

As far as reception being better on 98.7 in the office buildings, that is partially true; it does come in better in most of Pinellas than the 94.1 frequency, but if I recall, there are some major office buildings in downtown Tampa, Brandon and Temple Terrace and reception there won't be so good on the new smooth jazz frequency of 98.7. (which is one reason why their sister station (same signal - 50,000 watts and same tower site) used to have a repeater in downtown Tampa in the 1990's so that people in office buildings could receive Oldies 92.5 on the downtown Tampa repeater of 92.1.
