I hear it from authority that there's no non-compte for Gary & Beth. I almost laughed when I saw your suggestion that they'd have one. ;D
I do wish them well. they would be a nice choice for WJAS.

The only issue with WSHH hiring them would be that they'd have to take Antill off the air, it just translates to more $$ for a marginal ratings boost if any. I'd be very surprised if they find work in Pittsburgh again (and I wish them the best, just trying to be realistic).
And I know this job isn't open, but they would actually be a nice change of direction for KDKA in the morning. All Larry does is hold elements together, some light banter would actually wake that show up a bit. But again, ain't gonna happen....
Raymond said:So Gary and Beth had a nice rapport/chemistry. But do you really think they'd bring listeners over to WSHH. (like Antill would take himself off the air. They're saving money now).
the G&B ratings were dismal at best.![]()

Q92.9 brings in John Cline for mornings.
Cline in da Mornings!

Listeners may see the billboards and hype for the new Q ( if they do a publicity blitz) and tune in out of curiosity. At that point the repackaged product may or may not sell. Given there is no soft AC in this market on FM, I think somebody who is not doing well should take the LTJ airstaff and try it. WDUV in Tampa and WTRV in GRand Rapids do well because of the older demos. Why not in Pitsburgh ? If I were CBS, I'd flip STAR as STAR and B have too much overlap. CBS is still successful with Smooth Jazz in Tampa, so someone knows how to reach older demos. Could STAR get anymore irrelevant?

That would take work and lots of it. Too many people in this business want the most results with the least amount of work possible. I feel better knowing that I put my heart and soul into my work each and everday and truly feel that I've earned it, as opposed to 'coasting'.
