Actually, radio is a FOR PROFIT business...and playing junk from more than 50 years ago to an audience that is dead, or has to be propped up in front of the radio, is SUICIDE. Did you know if WOGL played junk from 50 years ago when they signed on in 1987...you'd have been rocking to the top hits of 1937!??! Face it....the "oldies" audience has one foot, if not both feet, in the GRAVE. If WOGL didn't update itself (like they so successfully HAVE)...they'd be in those graves with those geezers.fmradio1 said:Radio is in the business of BROADCASTING, not narrowcasting!

AND when I'm in the house I stream my oldies music on line. If a radio station did play (oldies)50's-70's they would do very well. If 97.5 was smart they would flip today!! there #'s would jump right up..
