That's what I figured. I posed the same question to my brother over lunch yesterday and his response was "Fermi?"
It is surprising the WG isn’t trying to shutdown the daytime soaps rather than let nonunion/former union continue to write the shows during the strike. Note this has happened in past strikes, it’s almost like an unofficial carve out. I don’t think anyone in primetime or in other scripted/WG written programming is doing this.

Are most game show hosts union members or not? I'm guessing Jane Lynch on The Weakest Link being a union member is part of why it hasn't been renewed yet.
Game shows are exempt from the SAG strike.
Why is that?
Some separate agreement from what it appears, same as soaps keeping going.
They are covered under a different contract which expires in 2024.

She is a member of an entirely different union (SAG) that's not striking against the producers of Jeopardy!, so what are her rights when it comes to a "sympathy" refusal to perform her job?
