Hey Omega....first of all they weren't the ratings that came out today, they were the Fall Phase II trends. The ratings book comes out next month. Secondly, there is no way to tell if going Spanish has hurt or helped 92.1/WRLX because the flip came midway during the Phase II trends period. It will take several months to see what, if any, the flip's effect was. The only exception to this was when 640/AM flipped from music to that awful excuse they call talk radio back in the fall of '06. In that case the effects were immediate.....they lost whatever ratings they had right from the get-go. And they still haven't learned their lesson. Time will tell the story on 92.1/WRLX, but my guess is that they will be singing the old Rolling Stones song "Time Is On My Side" with the lyrics that said "you'll come running back to me", meaning don't look for the Spanish thing to succeed. But I could be wrong....nobody knows for sure right now.
