WSBK takes over MyNetworkTV affiliation in Boston

It is shocking how much wsbk has slipped over the years from a great independent to upn and now mytv. I'm surprised cbs couldn't do better. i was hoping the 9pm news with the giggling kids kate and todd would be better at 10pm with jack williams. Jack looked like he was babysitting for the half hour. Get rid of kate and todd, keep jack and have barry do the weather. TV38 in its current stay is unwatchable.
 
This latest change is disappointing. WSBK attempted to keep the TV38 name in some way by calling themselves MyTV38, but to me, after seeing everything on-air yesterday, they are just a copy of every other generic MyTVNetwork affiliate out there. I get WSBK on DISH Network, and WWOR, the flagship My affiliate, is right next to WSBK on the line-up, and flipping back and forth between the two, they seem almost the same. I knew in some way 38 was not going to be independent forever. I'm surprise it lasted 5 years. Even though the station aired the basic syndicated fare, the identity of TV38 was unique and had history, and they had to destroy that for the sake of a cookie-cutter program service that programs about 10 hours a week and is convenient for affiliates who can't be creative in identifying themselves and have to resort to putting their channel # or market/dma name next to a My logo.

Cookie- cutter is exactly right and did anyone else notice that wsbk now uses the my network tv promo graphics outside of primetime(to promote their other shows) talk about being lazy and cheap.
