YIKES...WZLR down to a 0.9 in the Spring Book

Looks like Bubba the Love Sponge has crashed the ratings at The Eagle. A 0.9? Yikes. I know several people that were unhappy with the Bubba Show going on The Eagle and switched to Fly 92.9.
Anyone know what numbers Main Line got in the Spring Book?

Therer's something about listening to a show from Tampa that spends all morning talking about Tampa and the host's ugly rivalry with another Tampa jock that has very little interest.

They've even done TV to promote Bubba The Love Sponge(At least during WWE Smackdown on Friday nights on 45.2). With 94.5 likely going away soon, why not try CHR on 95.3? It couldn't hurt. Fly has the Classic/Adult Hits format covered anyhow...with a bigger signal. 95.3 is floundering right now.

Not only is Bubba's show not working here, but this station is suffering from poor music rotations (repetition). The days of only 400 songs rotating are over. I hear "Piano Man", Supertramp and many other songs falling in the same dayparts, same times daily. Whose programming this station?

They just really need to dump the classic hits and fast. I think the PD loves Bubba & Classic Hits so it's one of those deals with unless he's gone, it's staying. But I'd like a good CHR back in town, poor signal or not.

Maybe, but the PD is responsible for the music. Open the playlist up man! And stop depending on software to do all the work.

The local PD is not free to "open up the playlist". You won't be hearing obscure and unknown titles on any Cox station. Talk to Bob Neil about that. He's been known to fire PDs who deviate from the safe list.

Whose talking about obsure titles? Expand and play more of the hits they are missing on. And manually change the rotations of the music. At a .9 what they are doing isn't working!

Last I heard Jason Roberts was the PD at The Eagle. I'm surprised he hasn't chimed in on this thread yet. I'd like to hear his perspective. Also Fly 92.9 has a similar format, so the Classic Hits format is kind of a waste, especially since Fly has a 40,000 watt signal that reaches 2 states and 26 counties.

Is Cox going into the crapper? Traditionally they didn't make a programming move without thorough research. When a format came up on WHKO or WHIO is was an instant ratings success. ex: The move from WHIO beautiful music to WHKO country.

WHIO-TV has traditionally been a class act worthy of being called "The Leader". Their 7-2 weather station is very herky, jerky. Video freezes and fades but stays on the screen. The video goes balck too often. Governor Cox should be rolling over in his grave.

7.2 is run by Accu Weather and is the same exact subchannel that WBNS 10 TV uses in Columbus, but they don't call it "Weather Now", and of course with Ch. 10's meterologists. I too have noticed at times 7.2 does stick with say a tower cam shot for several minutes with silence in the background. Otherwise I have no complaints about 7.2. At least Ch.7 did something with their digital subchannel...2 and 26 just have a standard definition repeat of their main channel on their subs(Ch.22 doesn't even have a digital subchannel for some reason).

Well I'm sure Cox corporate spends more time on their playlists than Clear Channel does. Anyone hear Channel 945 lately? Crappyyyyyy. And at least it'd be somewhat local.
