funny how dubs is in the dictionary, but agreeance isn't anymore! That is just another sign of how times are a changing!!!!!
 
According to the folks at the Oxford English Dictionary, "agreeance" is actually a word. Redemption is NICE!

BOO-YA-KAHHHHHHHH. Been a while since I`ve been on here to read all the rederic from all of us (including myself) @ times. I`ll leave you all with this. Dayton radio reallyyyyy s-u-x and they (Corporate Radio) treats us like we`re a city surrounded by nothing but corn stalks and cows......oops, we are. None the less, they don`t give a holy hot, stinky toilet bowl about this market wether it makes money or not. I`ll post something else about CC later, but until then... In the mighty words of a hippy at Woodstock.....PEACE!!!
 
as someone who actually worked for Channel 945 I can share a few details:
a) Clear Channel Dayton WILL be selling two stations, chances are it will be LITE and WDKF (neither station has a PD and for an important position such as that to remain open on any station should raise a few eyebrows)

b) WDKF's ratings have improved in a lower demo and has been catering to younger kids, because they have found more success in this area. Hence why Hannah Montana, Drake Bell, and several other NICK/Disney musicians have been guests for the radio station

c)the morning mess's ratings have dragged down the stations ratings ever since it has come into existance. there have been several attemps to can the morning mess but to no avail, which leads me to believe there is a reason for keeping them on hand. See letter A for that explanation

d) the only person on that station that is worth their salt is drake, and he is the reason for the demo's focus to have shifted. For anyone who said Ike b is the stuff, you are off your rocker. His air time was cut because his show tanked. E has been doing a pretty good job and has shown a lot of growth, but due to his lack of people skills he will probably continue to stay in studio and have minimal public exposure.

e) as for the ages of the morning mess Gina is 26, Clayton is 26, and Quinn is 30. So to a degree it is definitely run by kids, but the level of immaturity is abundant.

Who were you? Wes? That's of course if you share because most people don't. I wonder when this all will go into effect. I really don't want Z93 to be the only CHR. Please no.
 
Wasn't Wes younger than any of the staff members mentioned? He was barely legal to drink when he changed the station from Kiss fm to Channel 945. So it wouldn't be right for him to say that the station has been run by kids unless he was talking about himself though he would be telling the truth. And the morning mess got more mature and less offensive while the rest of the station found success in younger demos. So maybe they weren't canned because they aren't that bad, they're just not right for the station. They would probably do better on Z 93.
 
Why would anybody be excited about a better competitor coming in? CHR listeners are with you one minute and gone the next. Especially the younger end. This move could make Z 93 much better in that demo, and could end up sending 945 out of the format.
 
Very right on tha note. If a good night slammer comes into the market, and Channel doesn't step up their game, they could be gone real quick.
 
I really don't want to see what happens if 945 goes because there's a chance Z93 will too and then I will be left without a Mainstream CHR in the area unless I listen to Cincinnati which leaves me back where I started listening to a rhythmic-leaning CHR. Q102-- HOT AC.
 
no matter what happens to Channel, Z93 will always be around. If Radio One doesnt want it, they know they will make more money selling it to someone who does than flipping it.
 
Channel had Hannah montanna?! I listen all the time, and I'm pretty sure that's not true. The Morning Show isn't very mature, I agree on that. They lack alot of substance, and don't realte to the 18-34 female demo. Let alone the 12-24. With that said, they could never relate to the 35+ demo, so that can mean only one thing= they are no good. Individually there is some talent there, but together they are horrible. Channel 9-4-5 may sell, may not, but they do have a PD. The OM, I don't know his name, but he, Drake, and Mark Anderson run things there. Ultimately Drake probably calls most of the shots. I think that if Channel got a decent morning show, a better mid-day show, and let Drake and E be where they are, they will succeed. Succeed is beating Z-93, not Hot 102.9 because that would never happen. Whenever I ask people if they listen to the channel morning show they always respond back the same way, "I hate those guys"! Change is a good thing. And by the way, on mediabase it says that Drake is the PD now? Hope that's true, so they go more rhythmic!
 
If you have access to mediabase then you must be a programmer or md somewhere. And if you're cheering for Channel 945 then you must be theirs. There's no reason you would hope for them to win if you're a competitor. Way to toot your own horn.
With all that said, its interesting to hear that you hate your own morning show so much.
 
Actually I have access because I job shadowed the other day at COX radio. They showed me alot of stuff, including mediabase. You must work there because everythime someone says anything about the morning show at Channel, you respond negatively back. With that said, you must be either Clay, Quinn, or Gina. That's halarious there buddy. Not my fault your show sux.

If Cox had shown you mediabase during one visit for a job shadow, you wouldn't have noticed that it didn't say drake before. And I have responded to a lot of posts about a lot of different topics, not just morning show stuff. So you're just trying to turn this around. By that logic, you must be one of the 3 jocks you always defend.
 
It wasn't even me that pointed that out is was Gary at Cox big guy! You have issues, because you get really flustered when the morning show gets ragged on. You have to be one of them. That's the only explanation. It's okay though because we here on the board can give you some pointers on how to sound good and not so bad anymore. Want our advice or not?!!!
