That station owes it's existence to Howard, like him or not.Sadly, I guess it could be expected unfortunately, allot of Howard ass kissing this morning
The station would have existed with or without him. He has not been on the air since 2004. He is irrelevant to terrestrial radio and WNYL.That station owes it's existence to Howard, like him or not.
The link no longer works to, says "unable to load stream".OK, so where is the stream for the continuation of Alt 92.3? The link on WNYL's page on Audacy still brings up the WINS audio. Live, voicetracked, or jukebox in a closet?
Such typical Audacy incompetence. Their app is a disaster. The link no longer works to, says "unable to load stream".
What is on HD3? I wonder what happens to the "New Arrivals" channel on HD2.The continuation of Alt 92.3 on WINS 92.3 HD2 has begun.
And, as one would expect, the WINS simulcast on WNEW 102.7, HD3, which had been on for years, has ended.
Still Channel Q on HD3. New Arrivals can be found on the Audacy app. It's a national stream. What is on HD3? I wonder what happens to the "New Arrivals" channel on HD2.
Why do they always target our alternative rock stations?

I didn't blame radio. I said that Alternative as a genre of music is anti-corprate and anti-social norm. As a radio format, Alternative has been most successful artistically when two things have been happening. One (and most important), as many on here say, is when there's a consensus amongst the listeners as to what they want to hear. That's missing right now. Two, is when an independent owner is more passionate about the genre. It's always been a money game. Alternative usually does not make enough of it.
It has nothing to do with owners or "corporate suits" -- although I understand why you'd want to blame some "boogeyman" rather than take time to actually understand the problems that the radio business faces.
