Thanks for the possibles, gents. Nothing IDed last night was new nor would WAOS have been had I IDed it; if I have time tonight I'll check 620, 1540 first, then the jumbles on 1560, 1580 and 1620.

I envy you folks who actually get ID'S ?!! On two earnest sunset occasions recently, the AM dial provided not a single set of call letters for this listener!
I'm primarily an overnight AM DXer -- have been since age 11 -- but in recent times I'm unable to fathom why radio comapnies that are streesed for cash insist on broadcasting 24/7/52 at barren times ALWAYS to've been considered negligable for revenue or listenership.
At certain times I think there can be more DXers tuned in to hear TEST broadcasts than there are nationwide listeners.
The days of syndiccated stuff like John Bohannon and Dolly Holiday were inconvenient enough but sitthroughable because there were many locally-satisfied stations on the air.
Times evolve (or devolve), of course. But with the piling on of ESPN-Fox-CBS Sports, preachings, and interminable interviews with this week's Banned Book of the Month Club author, the only usuable ID's overnight are available at the TOH -- and they're buried in a sinkhole of translator numbers, HD extension speakers, slogans-dot,com, off-band podcasts, as well as many buried COL's considered as gauche for imaging.
Lol -- we all have our problems. I'm just letting off steam, annoyed at why so many stations claiming that utilities are draining them insist on trying to harvest anything fruitful from an overnight desert.

As David has told us numerous times, the last thing you want is the transmitter not firing up at 6am.
 
Auroral conditions again tonight.

If you need WTIS Tampa, FL on 1110 they blasting in here in Chicago with Spanish language music and many "La Mega" slogans.
 
Also WGMP AL Montgomery with fair signal playing alternative rock and mixing with WWVA on 1170. Listed as 7 Watts, but I doubt it.
 
It seemed like business as usual over here as of ~10:45-11:30 PM Pacific when I checked. Perhaps the regulars like KOA (CO), KNX (LA), KSL (UT) and KNWN (WA) are a bit stronger than usual, but I didn't notice anything out of the ordinary.

I bet things were more interesting on Thursday night, but I was asleep, so I missed it.

DFW, Texas -- Sangean ATS-909X

Heard DX Test for 1150-WMST Mt. Sterling, KY. Sweep tones weak, but clear, at 23:18 CDT under KSAL with WJBO nulled. Heard Morse Code at 23:26 CDT. No luck on 990-WWKY test. Local 990-KFCD sits between me and Kentucky, directionally. Nulling KFCD yielded only XET.

Thanks to the committee for the work that goes into arranging these tests!

Last time I was in Prescott, there was nothing on 99.1 FM. I’m not even sure Fun Oldies is still on 1450 AM. This says 1450 is Christian music now: KNOT-AM 1450 kHz - Prescott, AZ.

Maybe the 99.1 FM signal was down as I was only there for a day, but those in Prescott can confirm that KTMG is back on the air on 99.1 FM. Also, isn’t 99.1 FM Magic 99.1? Magic 99.1 Home

KTMG 99.1 heard here on Es in 2017. Fun Oldies is online-only. KNOT-1450 is now Christian Contemporary.

No, fun oldies is not online only, its on 1450.

The christian music is on 103.9

This is info directly from Patti Ezell, Great Circle Media's Regional director of Sales & Marketing who I just asked.

99.1 is still AC as Magic 99.1

I can confirm, as I definitely heard it loud and clear over the Prescott Valley SDR.

So the answer to my original question seems to be that the call is KNOT.

That said, if KNOT was playing Fun Oldies last summer, I think I might have heard it over my Radioshack DX-392 (with built in antenna) for a few fleeting moments (I heard, very faintly, Bobbie Gentry's Ode to Billy Joe, which would squarely fit in Fun Oldies' playlist).

I'll have to try listening for it again sometime.

I was like.. wait.. i know people.! Patti is a good friend to Hits 106 KLMI Owner Shawn Faxon and had a daughter goign to UW Laramie, and has visited a time or two

Years ago, she was also one of the business partners who put on what is now KDDL in the market.
 
5:53 a.m. CDT today from San Antonio - new logging: 930 WSFZ "Black Information Network" from Jackson, MS. Was listening on my Digitech AR1780 and Terk loop with local KLUP partially nulled.

Signal was weak and in/out. Heard a spot with Nicole Deal followed by BIN IDs and news with Bri Wood and John Marshal. A few minutes later it was gone.

This was an hour before Jackson's sunrise. So not sure if it was on 3.7 kW day power or 60 watts night power.
