Post your latest DX

I don't have any AM Stereo Radios :(

I been listening & DXing here in Dayton, NV

AM is mosty dead, except local stations

At 7pm I can get a very weak KCBS

On the Sangean DT-200X

Tried for some meteor scatter and didn't have much luck. Much more fickle and a lot more difficult then Sporadic-E.

Some decent burns but couldn't get any IDs or playlist match.

I did happen to get 92.3 KOFX El Paso, TX but it's a relog from Sporadic-E

I didn't get one meteor scatter ID last night on 94.1 (unattended recording). One UNID burst around 3AM was all that she wrote. I live 6 miles from local transmitters and I think that, and the noise level, destroys any chance I can get at the meteor showers. Disappointing.

Solid tropo duct this morning between 9am and 12pm MDT, with stations from Missouri, Nebraska, and Kansas coming into my post in Cheyenne, WY. I used my Eton EE for these catches, with just the internal antenna stretched out. There were so many stations that I still have to go back and identify some, but here is a short list:

103.7 KJEL Lebanon, MO (683.1 miles) was weak, but in the clear, with branding (see video). About 10am MDT.

106.9 KTPK Topeka, KS (493 mi) strong at first, but weakened, confirmed by local advertisement.

102.5 KBLS North Fort Riley, KS (450 mi) moderate strength, overtook local station. Confirmed by branding "Sunny 102.5"

102.9 KHUT Hutchinson, KS (421.7 mi), really good strength, confirmed via legal ID at the bottom of the hour, which I thought was unusual, but I'll take it!

92.7 KZUH Minneapolis, KS (408 mi), confirmed as part of the KJIL family, via branding ID.

106.9 again. KBGL Larned, KS (350 mi), confirmed by RDS branding "Hits 106.9".

107.7 KCGR Goodland, KS (217 miles), great strength, confirmed by RDS saying "KCGR".

Before today, my farthest Tropo catch was on June 9th, 2021: 98.3 KXDJ Spearman, TX (408.3 mi).

Today's event just blew out my old personal best by nearly 300 miles! Here's that KJEL that was 683 miles away:

Tropo continued last night on the Edinburgh IN receiver. Heard were several Ohio and Detroit stations out to 300 miles.

WCRF 103.3 Cleveland
WMMS 100.7 Cleveland
WMXY 98.9 Youngstown
WHOF 101.7 Youngstown
WOMC 104.3 Detroit
WDZH 98.7 Detroit

But the winner was a DXer in eastern Tennessee on the WTFDA loggers. He had his greatest tropo path ever. 800-950 mile tropo reception, some stations strong as well, to Omaha, Lincoln NE and even *South Dakota*!!

EDIT - KUOO 103.9 Spirit Lake IA HUGE signal this morning on the receiver 550 miles!!!

For some reason, I tend to have trouble logging into the Edinbergh SDR. When I do get in, it's one of the best of the best.

Our own Gr8oldies was on the receiver for a little while this morning as well. Finndx (Marko) was on there all morning. I think he was amazed at the tropo as I was. New Tr catches from this morning...which exceeded 600 miles, include...

KISD-98.7 Pipestone MN
KNWC-96.5 Sioux Falls SD (625 miles!! Wow!)
WRCV-101.7 Dixon IL
KSOU-93.9 Sioux Center IA with local news!
KXIA-101.1 Marshalltown IA 'KIX'
WFMT-98.7 Chicago IL *just before* KISD popped up
KKOT-93.5 Columbus NE 616 mi...massive signal! I couldn't believe it!
KGBI-100.7 Omaha
KQCH-94.1 Omaha (these two were so strong that they cued RDS. Phenomenal signals for 550 miles.)
KCSI-95.3 Red Oak IA, ID and Brownfield Ag Network
KOEZ-104.1 Ames IA
KBKB-101.7 Fort Madison IA
KSOM-96.5 Audubon IA
KIOA-93.3 Des Moines IA
KMA-99.1 Clarinda IA
KXBZ-104.7 Manhattan KS
WIBW-94.5 Topeka KS
KCJK-105.1 Garden City MO
WDAF-106.5 Liberty MO
KWIC-99.3 Topeka KS
KGGO-94.9 Des Moines
KNZA-103.9 Hiawatha KS
KCKC-102.1 Kansas City
KZPT-99.7 Kansas City

All I can say is...INCREDIBLE! 😲

Great to meet you there!

No KMZQ?
My guess is KIRO and KNWN make it there at night, possibly a few more Seattle's. Try 1380 for KRKO, if KTKZ can be defeated.

I basically abandoned DXing in the apartment I moved into a year ago due to bad reception, but I tried today and everything was normal (so maybe there was interference before?) I got two new ones, my first new catches in months:

710 WTPR Paris, TN
1110 WJML Petoskey, MI

Both were apparently on daytime mode despite being an hour or more beyond sunset. But I doubt anyone is paying much attention:)

TENTATIVE new catch this week: Monday morning about two hours before sunrise on 930. WRVC Huntington, WV. Presumably on 5kw ND day power. ESPN Sports blowing out semi-local WKBM. No positive ID, but WRVC was the only station I could find for which ESPN Sports fit. 1kw night pattern has a null in my direction. Signal was good enough to overtake WKBM, which is usually pretty solid here night and day.

I recieved KRKO Everett, WA the other night. It faded in and out quite a bit, but it was clear enough to get a positive ID. I'm pretty sure this is a relog (I'll have to check).

I also heard KSHO once again. 1,000 watts at ~550 miles is quite impressive.
