Not withstanding the grant of this Special Temporary Authority, the broadcast license for Station KVGK-LP will automatically expire as a matter of law if broadcast operations do not resume by 12:01 a.m., September 5, 2023.
Unless we missed something, they're fully oblivious that they forfeited their license, as per today's filing:

The EAS Encoder/Decoder is about $2,500.Reading their filing about a meeting they had with the Lt. Governor - does it really cost $100,000 to put in an EAS?
That’s more than the Lt. Governor makes in salary to stare at them in the meeting! The EAS Encoder/Decoder is about $2,500.
Also needed is (in a typical installation) : One FM receiver; one AM receiver; one SiriusXM receiver; and one NOAA receiver. That list can be as low as $250.
An internet connection is also needed, as well as a computer to run the EAS, but both of those already exist at most broadcast facilities, so it wouldn't be an additional expense.
A few cents worth of paper is needed to print out the EAS Handbook.
So, to answer your question, it's about $3,000 to buy the equipment, and $97,000 to stare at it.

"On September 4, 2022 at approximately 1430 hours, LVPR Vice President ripped off LVPR’s tower site
signage for KIOF-LP 97.9 FM at FCC Factility ID 190166 in North Las Vegas, Nevada after powering down the
transmitter because he saw there was nothing left to serve “We, The People” other than seeing various
federal/state grant program schemes to control broadcasters inconjunction when the U.S. Government and
State of Nevada Department of Education was in their final processes of shutting down LVPR and LVPR’s
commerce by the end of 2022. LVPR reminds the FCC that the LVPR Vice President was a U.S. Navy
Veteran (Honnorably Discharged) who died just a few short days later on September 23, 2022. His death was
felt by many in the overall broadcast industry here in Nevada."
Exactly. What a mind-numbing rant about nothing."Bizarre" was the truckload of political commentary in the letter to the FCC.
I don't think this will be the end of the saga.KVGK-LP Las Vegas gone!
The FCC has canceled their license.
normally, id say.. why would they? they have a full power non comm cp, an lpfm would be pointlessI wonde if they are filing for a LPFM next month,,,,,
