ABC Pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live

Half the population is going to hate whatever happens. And the chances are high Kimmel gets a buyout after a prolonged limbo because now Disney has been boxed in. They throw him out now, and the PR damage — and the damage to the Disney and ABC brands — gets irreparable on the left. They wait for him to make a move because they don't want to be seen as throwing him out and this continues to fester for potentially weeks on end.

We're rapidly approaching a point where this simply cannot be fixed.
Agreed. And every day, with every cable subscription dropped, advertising covers less and less of the cost of producing late night TV. People streaming only the monologue or only the musical performances on YouTube aren't consuming enough advertising to improve the situation.

I don't agree that Kimmel should have been forced to apologize for what he in his conscience did not believe he intended or said. I know we all have to "play the game" to a degree to stay employed, but if he's upset about this, and knows what's in his heart, I can understand why he wouldn't want to be force-fed to apologize a certain way for something he didn't say or intend.
Honestly wish some commentators on TV would say the "quiet" part out loud...that Kirk himself wasn't that great of a person even though he was a family man...what he was in public was not good.

I'd wonder what would have happened if any of the shows had a stronger stance than they did. For instance...Christopher Titus (short lived sitcom on Fox called Titus) and has a podcast. Last week's "Armageddon Update" was titled "Assassination of an Ass."
Just another Karen cracker he is.

My father had a huge collection of folk music. Lead Belly was part of my childhood, as were Woody Guthrie, Burl Ives, Harry Belafonte and Joan Baez. (Yeah, I was raised liberal, lol.)
I am a liberal too they say. I just get pissed off when some people can't tell the truth.
