People streaming only the monologue or only the musical performances on YouTube aren't consuming enough advertising to improve the situation.Half the population is going to hate whatever happens. And the chances are high Kimmel gets a buyout after a prolonged limbo because now Disney has been boxed in. They throw him out now, and the PR damage — and the damage to the Disney and ABC brands — gets irreparable on the left. They wait for him to make a move because they don't want to be seen as throwing him out and this continues to fester for potentially weeks on end.
