103.7 the Christmas Station

Wow..shameless plugs for KLTY and GodJesus, all in the same response ;)

Well I like the way KEOM does it. And if that's a shameless plug, sic the devil on this sinner! ;D

Uh-oh, here we go, this thread is going to start turning into a thread about God and religion.

I am a Christian and I like to celebrate the real reason for the season, the birth of Jesus Christ. As one bumper sticker says, Jesus is the reason for the season.

If you don't like what others have written about God and Jesus concerning this issue, especially within this thread, please lets not let this ruin this thread and even this holiday season.

I love Christmas and the season of Christmas, but goodness, it has gotten way too over commercialized
and we've completely blown off the Thanksgiving holiday. I know our country isn't perfect, we all have problems, etc., yet I am so thankful to be born an American. Even if you aren't a Christian, can't we all
be thankful for what we have compared to some other poor souls in the world who are starving to death, born into a life of poverty?

I'd just like to see Thanksgiving celebrated, THEN, start up with Christmas.

Personally, I would like to see thanks given and the good feelings we have this time of year all year round. Christmas music in November is a tradition with KVIL. Freedom is a privilege, and you have the freedom to change the station, just like you have the freedom to not listen to it and then come to public forums like this one and complain about how bad it sounds.

I like to think that in these times of high gas and energy prices, of terrorism and wars, and our sons and daughters and brothers and sisters getting hurt and dying overseas... if a Christmas song we play brightens up somebody's day, and makes them think about a Christmas past with their family, maybe we helped warm their hearts a little.

If not, change the station, and come back when you're ready, or after the holidays... or don't. ;)

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!

Well, that's some Yuletide cheer for ya'.

When it comes to Christmas oversensationalism, I deplore the liquidation of the true reason of the season. Unfortunately, that's the world we live in. Many sheep live in this country that don't really embrace family cheer and honey-glazed hams, but rather just want to beat the sales at the mall. Boycott the station or not, they will keep doing it until eventually some quack in this town decides to push the envelope and at least allows children to have Halloween without distraction.

But hey, if you want to enjoy Thanksgiving, here's an idea. Call the family, eat the turkey and listen to CDs. Sucks, don't it?

...and if that doesnt float yer boat, do what I do:

CELEBRATE FESTIVUS!!!
