Not only that, but I was listening in Charleston, SC (which gets a pretty good WIXC signal on the coast), and they were playing the Division II National Championship Game yesterday, when maybe 20 people or less care about Cal Poly Pomona and Findlay in all of Central Florida.
I believe during the tournament, they ran all four games each day, which is what Genesis signed for. They have such a great signal, but it is one of the most wasted signals on the entire East Coast. You have a 50,000 watt daytime signal, covering millions of people, and you flip to a news-talk format with third-string hosts. You could very easily do a full-service oldies or country station, and get a 3 rating on AM. That would be great.
