ABC Pulls Jimmy Kimmel Live

All these shows are junk. On one side, you've got some guy saying "Trump bad!" and the audience whoops because "he said our thing!". On the other side, you've got some guy saying "liberals bad!" and some other people cheering because he said their thing. The performing monkeys keep saying their lines and nobody learns anything.
Did you ever watch After Dark? That was a fantastic late night show. The only thing close to it I can think of here in America is maybe Politically Incorrect (which was also an ABC late night show before it went to HBO), but I thought BIll Maher was always a bit too in love with himself.

There are After Dark episodes here, but to watch some of them you have to be a "member of the channel", I guess that means some kind of subscription or one time payment.

Tucker Carlson says the government is using the shooting to "trample the first amendment."

Isn't that what Kimmel said? Should Tucker get fired? Oh, that's right. He was.
So if you own a broadcast license, I have freedom of speech to say whatever I want on your station?

Here’s an update a law firm goes after KABC-TV Los Angeles over the Kimmel situation. Yes this is a case where people above the KABC GM has to respond to this as in Upper Disney Management and their legal team given that Disney’s main office is in the Los Angeles TV Market.

Democrats in congress want the FCC chairman removed because of his role in this:

Another dead end for the Dems.

Face it. Nothing substantial is going to change even if the president's name is all over the Epstein files, because then, J.D. Vance becomes president. And if Vance's name is in the files, then Mike Johnson becomes president. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss. I've had at least one person tell me he believes the second Trump term is merely a set-up for a Vance presidency by the end of this year, that it's all in Project 2025's plans. We'll see, won't we?

And I want to win the PowerBall. Neither one is happening.
The GOP majority is small enough in both chambers that I wouldn't rule out this as a dead-end. And we're already less than 48 hours into this prolonged story basically taking over every narrative.

And again, Congress has to set the rules for the FCC. If you see at least three or four GOPers going astray because they see the writing on the wall, then Mike Johnson doesn't bring up the rule changes Carr wants for a vote.

Just a few moments ago, the House fell right in line to pass a funding bill that some caucus members had railed against. Until they were told to get with the program. Optimism is great, but there is not a shred of evidence that even if there’s some manufactured “drama,” that the caucus will splinter away. They may need some bribes, some pork, some pet issues addressed, whatever. But there is a cold, hard political reality that they are firmly entrenched with the buffoon.

Then they do this at their absolute own peril. Simple as that. Something tangently different is afoot here.

No! I'm saying we are burning our own coolies
Oh no, not our coolies.
and had better wake the F up.
Who exactly is going to wake up? If someone is not “awake” they’re comatose. You have a hell of a lot of people awake on both sides. One group is cheering on the fascism they once decried because they’re getting to stick it to the other side. That other side has been warning about this all along. And the skewed electoral system favors group 1.
