I like about 9 out of 10 songs 106.7 plays and that's a pretty good if you ask me. They could do without some of the old "poppy" songs that everybody has heard a million times but other than that, they're a cool station. The imaging sucks though. For such a cool station, they're imaging and it boring and bland.
I was thinking 8 of 10. It seems like they are trying to lure some old Channel Z listeners back with some of the song selections. 8 years have gone by and Pearl Jam's "Last Kiss" still sucks, so please move on.
I know they are still creating the playlist, but here are some things I've noticed.
Good:
White Stripes
Smashing Pumpkins: need more like "Cherub Rock" and "Bullet with Butterfly Wings" etc.
Sum 41 - Fat Lip: nice surprise
Filter - Hey man, nice shot: glad they aren't wimping out too much like Channel Z always did
Saliva: see Filter comment
Alice In Chains - Would?: see Filter comment
Older Radiohead
Tracks from the 80s mixed in, seems to be a trend lately with modern rock
Muse: on the right track for some variety
The Raconteurs
Bad:
Bob Marley??? Hello!
Shawn Mullins: Blech!
New Radicals: Huh?
Too much DMB
No Nine Inch Nails, as of yet
Gin Blossoms
Counting Crows
That's all for now.
Edit: One more thing. I'm not sure if they are planning on being more of a classic alternative/modern rock station, but I hope they settle in a little more current.
