CALL LETTER MEANINGS

Was this ever on the air or just a CP? Isn't there currently an application for an AM in Lancaster?

WLGW was on the air for a short amount of time in the late 1980's in the very early 1990's. I believe, enginneer Peter Morton, built and put that station on the air..

Trivia question: The WCNH calls were previously assigned to two other stations licensed to or serving the Concord, NH market, both of which were changed before the stations went on the air. Name those two stations.

WCNH = Concord, New Hampshire or "Classical New Hampshire"

I'm pretty sure one of them is what's now the Wolf. No idea on the other.

slight inaccuracy above..... WKBR went on the air as 1240, with (I think) 500 watts, from the single tower just 500' east of I-293, behind the Amoskeag School. Then in 1959-1960, the Goffstown 5-tower site was built for 5,000 watts on 1250.

Of course, I-293 didn't exist when WKBR was using the single self-supported tower behind the studio building on Front St. ISTR I-293 being built around '64/65.

I know WCNH was the call for an AM CP for Concord, 1140 daytime-only I believe. The CP has long been deleted.
