Fantastic word game

Heights are something of which I was once afraid, and socialization was also a stumbling block for a while there.

[Fayetteville became widely known as "Fayette-Nam" because it was where many soldiers left for Vietnam from, or where they returned to after their tours of duty. The names (altered as they were) kind of rhymed, that made it start. Additional factors in the term's growth and expansion include: a large number of soldiers, sent back out to a broad dispersion of hometowns, combining their shared memories of Rick's Lounge, the Seven Dwarfs Lounge, and a wide array of other "establishments" with "Asian flavor" that were in town. All of this coalesced into a common bonding communal experience kind of thing, and, alas, to the chagrin of community leaders since the 60s, even today, many refer it to as "Fayette-Nam." Fayetteville born and bred baby, you can still hear the practice shelling if you stand and listen for a few minutes though! ;) ]

There, there, quadraphonic, everything will be ok, Uncle WMC is here for you. ;D

(I lived in Wilmington, NC for a couple of years and made weekly trips to Fayetteville. Had heard about the Fayette-Nam thing but never thought much about it. One week, happened to hear all this noise in the distance and just thought maybe it was a really noisy construction site so I asked someone. He said it was coming from Fort Bragg. I was shocked. ;D )

Compassion is a good thing for all of us to share.

[Them rumbles can be heard for a good distance from Fort Bragg. There used to be some rumbles off the coast too that some people attributed to some kind of reverberation from Bragg, but I ain't sure about that.
I have thought about the "Fayette-Nam" thing a lot. Probably too much, but it comes up A LOT. Can ya tell? :D
Man yall should have seen the paratroopers and planes go nuts in the jump zones and the morning drill runs when they used to let you go on base without all kinds of documentation! ;) ]

Share and share alike, my mother used to say, but I still coveted the pony sized rocking horse owned by one of the wealthier cousins, and he never shared easily.

(Vietnam, Vietnam, the longer ago it becomes, the more vivid are the memories)

Rachel Ray is the female Ryan Seacrest.

(While in NC, I also made weekly trips up to Jacksonville and would take the shortcut through the military base up there...the name of that base escapes me right at this point, naturally. But I would be driving on that road and there would be uniformed soldiers marching along the side of the road, or crawling along the side of the road, tanks would be rumbling along on on a practice dirt road just off the road I was on. Kinda wierd to be just driving and suddenly, in front of you, a giant tank would be crossing the road. )

(Good lord, Ryan Seacrest is all over tv and radio. Do you live in a cave?? And have you joined TheDude School of Repetitive Word Gaming?? ??? )

Familiar with Ryan Seacrest, the other 5,000 members of Radio-Info hogtied Basnya and beat it into his head.

Head for the hills and sing Hallelujah, there is someone on the planet who has not heard of Ryan Seacrest.

Standards of high value are something we should all live up to and I am just trying to put a little bit of higher learning into your lives. :D

Lives are worth living if you're Born Free.

(Since I missed the Fayetteville discussion, I would like to add Fayetteville is only 50 miles from Chapel Hill ;D )

I live in Russia. Some things take a little longer to reach here.

Free elections are one of those things that you just assume will always happen until you spend time living in a country that doesn't have them... but pretends that they do.
