KAMA 104.9 new aux site is on air, signal improvement and HD. still working on some loose ends.
That should essentially duplicate the coverage 104.9 had from the destroyed Ennis tower. I know you’re not at liberty to say, but I suspect there will be an application to redesignate the new aux site as the new primary.

Sounds great, both with and without HD.

Noticed yall took off 93.3 of HD. HD wasn’t doing 93.3 any favors, still sounded almost the same.

I'll take Cesar Guel for a hundred, Alex.
Güel done, Rose!

(Okay, for those who are not polyglots, that last name is pronounced almost exactly like "well" in English)

Someone has to be raking in lots of money to have all these non commercial stations. 🤔

KLAT has filed another STA extension, and they claim this will really really really be the last one:

“Latino Media Network, LLC (“LMN”), requests an extension of this engineering STA for Station KLAT(AM), Houston, TX, Facility ID 67063 (the “Station”). The Station’s nighttime signal went dark on May 20, 2024, in connection with the circumstances described in its granted Minor Modification, File No. 0000229145 (“Minor Mod”). The Minor Mod requested authority to relocate the Station’s nighttime array to its daytime site in response to the impending loss of its nighttime site. LMN has not completed the relocation and therefore respectfully requests a 180-day extension of this STA. LMN has made substantial progress over the past six months and is optimistic that this will be the final required extension. Grant of this request would enable the Station to continue serving the public while it diligently continues the work necessary to build out its construction permit. The Station will expeditiously inform the Commission of any updates.”

So if you search a bit deeper on all these licenses you find a name .. and then you google that name (president) turns out it's the new ms Guevara who was arrested not sure when for driving while drunk and with a minor in the vehicle. How exactly can she hold a fcc license? Guess she's not really the one behind the new signals but i guess just lending her name .

KJOZ 880 returned to the air today after having been silent for almost nine weeks. However they are not running Radio Vision Latina as before; not sure what the current Spanish language format is, no liners heard in the short time I listened.

When did Radio Vision Latina move to KEYH 850? Had been the source for 104.5, but not any more. I guess 105.3 now has an originating station again, while 104.5 doesn’t.

K291CE 106.1 is still off the air for a third day, or at extremely low power. At my Cy-Fair location today I’m just hearing a weak KTTX, no sign of KIOC.
