INDIANAPOLIS SEPTEMBER PPM

It's possible WTPI would still be around if PPM had arrived 5-6 years sooner. Maybe there will now be a rush to do more AC formats since the format looks so good with PPM.

WYXB will put up monster numbers in November and December if they go "All Chrstmas." Very PPM- friendly format.

I've noticed more 70s tunes in B's rotation lately. And they're playing Neil Diamond. Really? You know it does sound a lot like WTPI before it died.

Couple of points...

In regards to Madison County - to be included in a dma a certain percenatge of people who live in that county (madison) must work in marion county. at one time madison was close to being included however with the shift in their workforce that has declined. and yes all arbritron stations must vote and the majority wins.

wklu - when the aribitron contract was negotiated the fee was based on wklu's performance under the previous owner and as primarily a brownsburg station. it was a 5 year deal, based on what was ta that time current ratings the contract amount would have increased 5 x's. a SIGNIFICANT increase.
