Pretty much it is what they do everywhere... brokered ethnic and religious programs.

it sold 104.9 KCNL to ethnic/brokered specialist Principal Broadcasting? HMMMMM!
Can't they just move to 100.7 and 100.9 in Salinas, Monterey?DavidEduardo said:Henry Ochs said:Do you think Clear Channel will find another frequency for its La Preciosa format, now that

They recently moved the more successful alternative format from 104.9 to 92.3; this was in part because the DoJ required them to sell the Spanish language station in San Jose. However, they have to sell all the SJ stations per FCC rules so there is nowhere to put the Preciosa format. In any case, Preciosa advised all local staff, such as PM driver Pepe Reyes, that they were being let go since the format was not continuing.

DavidEduardo said:No, because that station is fully staffed as the origination station for the network. SJ only had a live and local jock in PM drive, while everything else came from the Preciosa network or the morning show host's own network. It looks, in fact, as if the whole network is scaling back; from around 30 stations at one time, they are now at just 6 or 7 and no major markets at all.

Clear Channel is all about clustering sales. La Preciosa was hard to cluster with an alternative rock station and a classic rock station, so when it comes down to who would benefit CC more, it would be Channel 92.3. CC would probably be able to offer a better packaging deal with KUFX and KSJO, both reaching male demos. Channel 92.3 has also been doing pretty good in ratings both in San Jose and surprisingly San Francisco.Henry Ochs said:Do you think Clear Channel will find another frequency for its La Preciosa format, now that
