I read about this website somewhere and went to it. Too funny! I loved the Family Circus when I was a kid but Bil Keane needs to do a Sam Watterson and retire the strip while it still has a shred of credibility.

I was kind of surprised when I heard Ted's voice after the blog-nouncement. It looks like all parties involved were very professional about it. I wish Ted Simons much luck in his future.

Shred of credibility? The Family Circus? Ahhahahahahahaha. You've been hanging out at the Sugar Bowl waaaaaaaay to much, my friend. But kudos for being the very first person to ever put "Family Circus" and credibility in the same sentence. Keane hasn't wrung a single laugh out of that thing in decades!

Back in College, over 20 years ago, we had a Family Circus game.

On Sunday, name which strip Bil Keane would use.

Either: Billy walks a circuitous path, Dead Grandpa, "Not Me!", Dolly says something cute, or the parents are peppered with several silly questions by all the kids, all at once.


I have enjoyed the Pearls Before Swine comic strip incorporating the inane Family Circus characters into their strip, too funny.


(BTW, one more week of McBland, and he would probably interview Bil Keane about his cutting edge commentary on life.

Are you serious? That's what you did with your time in college? Seriously? Wow, that sounds like way more fun than beer, pot, and sex with women.
 
We did it while stoned and drunk when the women were in the shower after a long weekend of snogging.

I'll bet the worst thing Russ Hill ever did was come home after curfew while living at Heleman Halls on the campus of BYU. :eek: Of course, I did hear rumors of Russ drinking Coke on campus, but no one has been willing to come forward and substantiate the rumors. ;D
 
The caffeine must have evaporated his (Russ Hill's) brain cells ::) because he has NO confidence in local talent, instead "imports" them like Ankarlo and this new Mac Watson character from VA. :'(

Like Ankarlo, let's see which movers & shakers' ass MW kisses! :-* Mac was only in VA for 3 1/2 years. Let's see how long he makes it in Phoenix!

I have it on authority that he once charged a double word score on Scrabble, but in reality, it was a single word score. A pox on family game night everywhere.
 
you'd think ktar would've splashed-up their new 'fm news / talk 92.3' positioner onto the ktar.com homepage banner by now. ???

maybe their webmaster is thinking why bother, since the ktar moniker is changing weekly ::)

i would tune-in to checkout mac watson today, but the talk schedule on ktar.com isn't up to date and i don't know what time to be listening. :-\
