Yeah, doubtful it's happening tonight, unless it occurs at midnight.
I will still listen and note if anything changes.

RBRadioWaves said:Well, PPM came out today. WILD is on top, followed by The Bull, then WKLS, then WBZY WAY behind, and WGST. Yeah, WBZY is pretty much dead.
In terms of cume, WWVA, WUBL, WKLS, WBZY, WGST. WWLG is not even measured.

RBRadioWaves has been saying it all day. Don't ask me why. ???BRENT said:RadioFreak69 said:Nothing will happen before Labor Day.
Who even said this was going to happen today?????. It's pathetic that people get so excited for a terrible format to move to a different frequency. I don't care how great the ratings might be......................

To Recap: Here is one scenario of what may happen:
96.1: Project becomes WILD
105.3: El Patron becomes Project
96.7: WILD becomes either ESPN Deportes or El Patron
105.7: WILD becomes either Classic Hits or variety hits.
Another change could happen involving WGST. They could move El Patron or ESPN Deportes to 640/92.3 and put WGST on 105.7
The Bull is staying until Forrest leaves. And with the way Clear Channel works, it could be today, it could be 10 years until Forrest leaves.
As long as people continue to over-research oldies stations and have their "good times and eight oldies" with only Beatles, Beach Boys, and Motown that everybody gives a 5 to, oldies will continue to flounder. The demo aging out doesn't help, either. Cool 105.7 had the same issue as Fox 97 in its last days.secondchoice said:I doubt if CC goes with a variety of classic hits on 105.7 They tried once with "Cool 105.7" CC even had Randy and Spiff and JJ Jackson on that station but it did not make it. I do not know if it was the signal (weak south end of the market) or CC just did not give it any support or enough time. But Classic hit or variety or WGST on 105.7 would be admitting they made a mistake. Not going to happen!

It seems like the more successful oldies/classic hits stations turn their playlist regularly and include a decent number of "oh wow" songs. Stuff that would wither under heavy rotation but works fine as an occasional guilty pleasure. Even River does that now, with their "rock blocks" that typically include 2 hits and one deep cut.

I am betting my cash on AC. Yep, i know "B already does that"!!! So what. They BARELY do it. The 1-2 80s songs an hour are the songs that save them. A 70s/80s/90s station would be awesome. "Lite 105.7 & 96.7", anybody?
