Guess that means it wont be taking ChoiceFM's format.. now guessing to what WMWX could be, it could be anything. Wonder if they will go with some type of a Mix Format? or what about that classicX format from KY that replaced ChoiceFM on one of the LPFMs?William_Yeager said:The new station has taken the calls WMWX
Not sure either but it will be good to see something new in the market maybe.xmusicmatt said:Guess that means it wont be taking ChoiceFM's format.. now guessing to what WMWX could be, it could be anything. The strong db signal pattern is great and will cover most if not all of the tri-state plus. Thats a great signal. Better than some. Thats close to 1 million people under that signal! From what I heard the format is NOT the same as you mention but an enhancement to it.ChoiceFM said:The new station won't have me for a format. The big hold up is that the station needs a specially directed antenna. Our spot on the dial means we have to protect stations in Oxford, Batavia & Richmond, KY from our signal. When the tower has power we will flip it on.Another clue: The Classx format on 107.9, call letters WRHX-lp The new Station Call letters are WMWX.See a connection?
LOOKING.........or should I say .........SOUNDS GOOD!! Keep us informed!!88.9 Miracle said:New Station on 88.9, Miamitown-Cincinnati, WMWXWell guys, since I actually am on the Board of Directors of Spryex Communications, Inc. (the CP holder), I am one of very few who know what the format will be. It will be revealed when programming begins. I can tell you this, the format might just surprise you. I can also tell you that this format is a hole in the Cincinnati Market. There is nothing like it on the dial and the masses will enjoy it. Let the speculation begin.ETA is in 2 weeks if all goes well. Keep checking 88.9. Our only weak area will be the east side of the city. The rest should hear us loud and clear.A long 7 year wait and we are finally blessed. We won't let you down Cincinnati. If you are interested in a volunteer air position you can contact me at [email protected] (but I can't tell you the format yet).-Bill SpryPresident & GM, WMWX
