Note necessarily a "new" topic......Nassau sale

Re: Note necessarily a "new" topic......Concord's WKXL

WKXL is a joke. Owner, former Senator Gordon Humphrey, is using it as a play thing. Too bad cause he is using a tradition for his personal pleasure and making it a joke. Many quality radio guys have worked there on air and in sales (Gardner Hill, Bob Lauze, Jim Rivers, Don Dunklee, Dick Pistey Jim Jeannote, Don Lebrun, Warren Bailey, "The Clockwatcher", Mike Murphy, Harvey Smith, Al Ponalet, Pat Chaloux, etc.) all for nought. Best thing Humphrey could do is put it on the market and let a radio guy run it.

How did WKXL join this discussion. I mean...it IS a joke but...?

Can well swear off Nassau Broadcasting and thisle no sale blah blah for awhile.

A Nassau Free Summer....

OK This is seriously getting ridiculous. Close it already! Spin the trusts to Shapiro! Be done with it! What is going on? Has the P&S with Mr. Shapiro hit the 1-year mark yet. he must be killing himself!
I hear that despite shedding a coupld of stations that the sales are flat year to year. Might give Goldman some pause in the transfer and potential sale to another group or sell off them individually. Might be better wto work with the devil you know than the one you don't! Whatever they do, they have to do is soon. The one year mark for the stations (WNNH/WWHQ) to come back on the air I think is November.
