Serious. I didn't know you could generate a quickmix. But I have not used Pandora very actively. I created one station and listened to it for a while until it started getting repetitive and I have not used it much since. I usually use Slacker, Rhapsody, or tunein.

I don't like to flip between custom stations or channels more than I have to. I try to get by with 1 per genre. Then I put a lot into making them the best they can be. But nearly all the rest, and I have tried nearly every single one, produce stations that grow boring and simply don't feel like radio. Some of them relate to music so closely that they give me a headache after a while. Some of them (statutory licensed) are so bad they seem to ignore the DMCA rules on repetition. Especially when you bring skips into the game.
Well this is just alternative and rock channels 1 custom made channel the rest is pandora owned channels. I did try slacker but I have to listen just 1 type of rock or alternative music if slacker had 1 channel with all the rock/alternative that would be cool. I'm not paying for me to create my station with slacker.

Pandora is a mess. I've disliked it since it was a beta on music.com in 2005.

I tried Pandora here at work for a couple days and ended up going back to the radio. I'd hear many of the same songs and same artists if I created a station, and then they liked to dump in those little "announcements" every so often. The main reason I wanted internet based radio was for the lack of advertising. Then it would just stop playing after a period and the screen on my laptop had a message about not wanting to play to an empty room, or something of the like.
Now, I have over 4,500 songs digitized and on an external hard drive. I can load that into Winamp and hit shuffle and never hear the same songs over again.

Also I don't have facebook so spotify and whatever else. I like pandora the best cause of the quickmix feature, I like slacker second then RADITAZ third. But for sports and sports talk I use tunein,Iheartradio and radio.com which is cool!

I got in to Spotify before the Facebook requirement. Interestingly it was supposed to be limited after 6 months but so far that has not happened. I have been using it since the second day it launched in the USA.
Never heard of raditaz before. I have used nearly every music service so this is a bit surprising. I am testing it out now. Looks interesting, but it seems that the service is unable to decipher the difference between original song versions, remakes, live versions and covers. This is a problem for me.
