R.I.P. ROW

The AM dial has been dying in Canada. Many stations have deserted AM for FM.
The only way 590 AM works for me is to listen on a small one speaker radio at home.

Most under 30 don't even know what AM radio is. The people under 30 listen to radio as whole less than half the amount of time that they did 10 years ago. They don't know what AM is, and if they did, they are doing something else anyway.

You can't tell me that most under 30's don't even know that the AM band exists. Sure, they don't listen, except for a very small number of those politically motivated (whom I've heard call into Rush's show from time to time) True, there's certainly NO reason in the world why they'd ever consider seeking out music on the band.

Cars have crummy AM radios now.

I don't know about NOW, but my 2002 Corolla has VERY good AM reception!! My wife's Hyundai on the other hand; AM reception is good, but the audio is very "muddy" and not nearly as clear as in my car, even with the treble turned up as high as possible.
