In an old media world, we would never have seen the story develop. We would have read Rodney's article in today's paper and it would have been correct. But we're in the world of blogging, and we got to see Rodney report as the story develop, warts and all. To confuse this inaccuracy with lousy reporting suggests a lack of understanding of journalism. To state the case the way ATLBanker did, says more about him that Rodney's skills.
It's worth noting that one of the reasons Rodney is at the top of his profession is that he's one of the few reporters who can work with equal comfort with both print and the web. Rodney was a reporter for arguably the best newspaper in the world and now holds one of the more prized jobs in Journalism...he gets to watch television and listen to radio for a living. You don't achieve those things by being a "lousy reporter."
