Russ Martin arrested

I been sitting here thinking about how this will not only affect his fans but his coworkers.

JD and Clo have the biggest to lose if and I repeat if Russ is convicted. They have no other source of income or a second show like O'Malley or Everett. The best thing for those two to do right now is to ride it out and see what happens.

Two possible scenerios can play out at this point:

1. If Russ is found innocent, JD and Clo will continue on working with Russ.

2. If Russ is convicted, JD could and should form his own show with a the same cast minus Russ but as a midday show not afternoon drive time until he builds up his chops.

Disclaimer: All people charged with a crime are innocent until proven guilty. However, until the person is proven guilty, it is in the best interested of the accused to stay out of the public eye.

If this is a bit with Russ, he's sinking lower than I ever imagined. To joke about domestic violence is NOT a good idea. Then again I knew there was a reason I didn't listen to his show.

What is it about girlfriends named "Amy" that cause men to go crazy ???

NOT when the police get involved....they would NOT waste tax payer time to arrest someone if it was just a bit...that would cause MAJOR legal investigations and someone would lose their job over it...If they arrested Russ, and charged him, it is not a bit...OR else the police will soon see a State investigator at their door.....

He has joked numerous times about putting Amy in the dryer. Look at the mug shot - is it normal for guys to already be in prison garb PRIOR to getting their pic taken?

As far as police playing along with him? He's had both Gavin and JD pulled over 3-4 times in one trip to DFW by different jurisdictions.

I may be completely wrong, but that station needs a lift badly, and this is a LOT of free publicity.

If it is in fact truth then he needs some serious intervention. See Greggo.

AND if he did have G and JD pulled over, then he filed a false police report...and was probably fined for it and noone ever heard about it......But to be ARRESTED, nope....that aint happening without probable cause and charges being filed by the other party......this aint no bit
 
Ya know, with this guys attitude, it was destined to happen. Russ has finally hit the wall by assulting a woman, the thing is im shocked it didnt happen sooner. I will also go on record and say that if this is a sick and twisted bit, I hope he loses his show over it. This is yet another example of why KLLI needs to clean house and I have a gut feeling it's happening as we speak.

Well it appears you know everything so there is no reason to continue this discussion. FYI - a peace officer can pull over whomever they choose. If all 3 issue a warning no laws have been broken. If Russ set it all up (and it wasn't a bit) by providing license plate/car descriptions, what "false report" has he provided?
 
I just want to go on record as saying that Russ deserves every DROP of due process that any of us are entitled to. If he has been wrongly accused, I hope he has his (LEGAL) retribution.

The only FACTS released to the public is Southlake police arrested Dallas radio personality Russ Martin on an assault charge Friday morning & police confirmed that Martin is charged with aggravated assault with bodily injury with a weapon.

And quite honestly THAT can't even be considered fact - because the media never makes mistakes and would never ever jump the gun (no pun here) and report false information in the quest to report a story?!?!? That never ever happens???

99% of what people "know" about Russ is just a BIT on the radio - hell you people have him being a pill popping alchoholic wife beating gun nut!

What if someone showed up at his house and wouldn't leave and he pulled his gun to tick him out in his OWN home and the person called the cops and Russ was arrested - or what if his home was being broken into and he shot the person? No ONE KNOWS??

Take a step back and stop taking rumors for fact.

For all anyone knows the was an accident of some sort and the police had to arrest him so it DIDN'T look like they were giving him special treatment??

Now comes the part where people say "funny how he only has 4 posts" or "must be one of russ cronies" or my personal favorite "looks like they are already trying to spin this" lol

If you swing a broom stick with malice and leave a bruise you have met the legal definition of that standard. Now, can someone please tell me how it's the consensus that the victim was Amy?

Sure, the media does make mistakes. But if they did so here, that's a matter for the Southlake PD to handle. Arrests reports are available to the public, whereby the facts as they have been reported in the story, can be double-checked.

NO a police officer cannot pull over WHOMEVER they choose...they MUST have REASONABLE suspicion at least......IF Russ calls the cops and tells them G and JD jave taken stuff and it was all a gag and he waste officers time (which is public salary), he can be charged with filing a false report......Just giving plate and description is not enough....Wanna talk to my local City Marshall who is a friend of mine for 30+ years and agrees with me on this?? Or are you a wanna-be lawyer/cop who has NO clue as to the legal system???? You need to read the LAW bub........it aint what you think it is...
