The New 103-KVE

Re: The New 103-KVE

I don't know if they "need" a Facebook page, but in this day and age I don't understand why a station, be it radio or TV wouldn't have one. It certainly isn't cost prohibitive, being that it is free, it's just not taking advantage of an outlet that is current and easily available to most people.

Re: The New 103-KVE

Anytime you can having something free to market your station (Example Facebook), you take it. Pleased to see there may be a KVE website. 6.5 million hits to my new station's site last month.

Re: The New 103-KVE

I was 100% on-board with KVE as a concept. However, the longer I listen to them, the more I come to realize that "deep cuts" were, in most cases, buried deep on album "B" sides for a reason.

Re: The New 103-KVE

My only complaint is it's been a tad heavy on the Pearl Jam and other 90s stuff and I'd rather be hearing early U2 and things like that. Obviously that's just personal preference. The sad thing is how shallow they truly can go to give us what DVE has trained us to believe is a "deep cut."

Re: The New 103-KVE

But they play lots of things that DVE would never touch. Such as the uncensored version of Pearl Jam's Jeremy in the middle of a Saturday afternoon.

Re: The New 103-KVE

They put in a strong weekend. Listening to them gave me flashbacks to
'DVE circa 1980.

I don't think Eddie Vedder dropping the F-bomb makes it a deep cut. Jeremy is Jeremy, it's one of the most overplayed songs of the 1990s and I really don't need to hear it again in my life ever.

Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad by Derek & The Dominoes - that's the kind of thing this station is for, echoing Freddy's post above.

Re: The New 103-KVE
